Paac, you did the right thing posting a sketchbook here, besides showing off your excellent skill you already have obtained, this also will help you gain the advantage in your Illustration studies, by far.

Personally, I love you eye for snapshots, capturing a moment that tells more stories than a writer can within one sentence, pretty amazing if you ask me.
Have you ever been interested in RPG in forums? Ether way, I would like for you to take a minute to check out the first link below, because I think your contribution is invaluable.

    Thx paac

Welcome to the forums. Post a lot and talk to every one you can. There are a lot of great people here to learn from.

Your style is great. I like it a lot. I am a fan of high contrast inks, so I'd love to see more like the above two.

Your work has a great illustrative quality which is what I think you want so good work!

I want to visit that library.

    Later,
    Q-C

    More stuff... Again.

This one I did as a vehicle design for one of my classes:

This is my band, Darling Hiroko (I'm playing the guitar):

This is an old one (maybe 3 years old), but I really like it:

More to come! And please comment/crit.

awsome style u have paac! i like ur composition and pencil rendering techniques alot...

just one little comment...for the coloured piece...maybe have a broader range of tones to create more contrast between the shadows and bring out the highlights more

    new drawingsu!

As you can see, none of the above drawings are photoshop paintings, simply because I was so scared of trying it, it´s a huge process! Learning how to paint... man.. But nevertheless I decided to overcome my fear and started to paint. I decided to paint a portret of my friend, took about 3 hours. Please comment or crit, I'm very open to tips and suggestions. Below is the result.

Wow, you're really good. I wish I could crit you for something to work on, but I really can't find anything. The anatomy is fine, light always comes from one direction, and the facial expressions in that comic are killer. Though I gotta say the one with the kid opening the book is probably my favorite, even if it is from like 3 years ago. It almost tells a story by itself.
I think the problem with pen&ink is that there is no Ctrl+z command.

writers and artists have a lot in common -- we both draw from life, we both paint pictures, and we'll both spend to many sleepless nights on our work.

I really love your life drawing sketches. The tones are settled and really show your sense of lines and anatomy. Hope to see more of them!!

Your storyboard drawings are perfect. Its fun to look at them and "read" the story. Keep on the good work!!

fantastic, love the whole plot and characteristics. perfect, got 5 from me for that.

One thing, you dont need little arrow in the scene telling the viewer which way he moves, have some trust in the viewers brain power

Some really solid stuff here, seem to be developing a nice style(reminded me a tad of the gorillaz). Especially dug the foundation work, really nice studies dude. Keep it up.

Agreed on the style, I think it's gonna turn out great, but right now I'm looking at it and see a bit too many inconsistencies. Sometimes there's a lot of stylization, sometimes it's more realistic. Maybe a bit of exploration down either route to see what happens?

Those last few realism studies are fantastic

Great sketchbook, I actually love the cartoon style even more than your realistic Pencil work.

Would love to see you actually 'push' some of your cartoons even more, really exagerate some of the features and lines etc. The first few cartoons with the 'less manga' look (hard to explain) are the ones that really stand out to me.

    Sirio_Brozzi: Thanks dude
Rhineville: The reason for the different styles is in my free time I do whatever I like, but for school I do figure drawing stuff. Doing realism helps your over-all drawing skills too, so I highly recomend it.
SEVANS: Thanks, Yeah, Maybe I'll try do some hyper cartoony stuff..
    FactorZero: Thanks man

on to more pressing matters, a mandala design. I'll be coloring this with guache soon, so stay tuned!
