dude nice stuff, i can see an improvement in some areas where you have considered the direction and added shading accordingly, keep it up.

one thing tho, for the last pic of the boxer, i reckon the image could be much more powerful if you adjusted the camera angle and the winner's body posture. or even adjust ur current pic to have the loser still hurling through the air. it can add dynamic to your piece instantly.

say maybe have the winner' punch coming towards us and just have some hair to indicate the falling motion of the loser. or a close up of the fist connecting with the face

being said all that, it still depends on what you were trying to achieve with the piece, if it was supposed to convey "after" the battle, then maybe have the winner facing towards us and behind him lays the loser as u have drawn. just some suggestions

lastly, watch out for those pesky perspective man, its hard to calculate from your angle but at least have the ring area flat

I suggest you hunker down for a few hours (maybe like 2... or something. I myself have trouble sitting still for long periods of time) with a mirror and spend some time on a self portrait or a series of self portraits in graphite or something, paying close attention to lighting&shadows and form. Your confidence in human facial anatomy could use some tweaking

GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! pissed off does not BEGIN to describe me right now, i resized this painting so i could show you guys as a jpeg, then i musta saved it and then carried on painting...i realised thinking "shit, i should stop, its not full size. *close, dont save*" THEN, i reopened the less worked on small painting the size it is now is what i have to work in now...argh!

hey man nice update! haha i like how u make a different version of your stuff after u finish them. anyways just one thing about ur new digi, maybe have some complementary colours in it? like say u're using alot of yellow...maybe blend some purple in the shadows, keeeps it interesting

if your going for the sinple bold colour look, have a look at gezstars ten ton baby work in the ff thread( its old, and in best of ca)

now regarding the update, the realistic facial studies are just want i wanted to see from u man, definitely keep them up! i can see an improvement already in the faces

just one little picky thing, u're applying line weight which is awesome but watch out where u apply the deep and dark lines, eg: the face on the lower left corner of your second pic, it seems to me that the shadows are on the right, but the deep dark lines are on the left which makes it sorta confusing

keep up the great stuff!!! and i DO read your replies so dont think u can get away with that again

PS: be clear about the name thing in the future lol...i had to go back and do a little "research" before i read what u told bluefruitbowl before to understand correctly what u meant

Love the latest stuff! Its a treat see you develope. You keep getting better by the week, and refine your style as you go. Really, one can see great progress in these pages. Continue on this track and you will be legend.
Really like the colored b'nessman, I have no idea how you make those crazy colors work, but you do! Find the "shit i'm to late" piece really interesting, it got some good potential. I say keep experimenting on it, I like the way its headin though it lacks something... I cant point my finger on it. Experiment a bit on it and I reckon you have a big chanse of finding 'it'.
Keep it up sir, become king!
