hey man, u're updating so fast!!! ....one crit i can give you is try to do some mouth studies...the 2 corners of the mouth are the darkest parts....and the top of the lower lip should be shadowed by the upper lip...consider the shape and form and u know the rest , keep working hard, peace!

the change in position of the arm is better, but it looks to be in an awkward position. Also, you might want to change the color of the lips looks like he got some lipstick on.

hey man, thanks for the crits. i tried to get the lips as subtley coloured as i could..it's tough
one thing about the arm..i want to keep it realistically positioned but at the same time he's falling, im trying to get a kind of ragdoll thing going on...like, when a boxer falls he doesnt go out swinging.
i hope im not coming off as defensive but im trying to achieve this somehow.
ill keep repositioning and seeing which looks best.
    thanks!

hmm you got a hard task in front of you, it's hard to depict a figure falling down convincingly. I think making the wrists slightly bent from lack of strength instead of keeping them straight and rigid would give the illusion of rag-doll like. Also, perhaps making the eyes slightly half closed and the eye balls rolling upward-like to depict the he is on the verge of passing out.

    hey,
I like your stuff, on the last peice i think you need to make the neck connect to the body better and the left wrist is looking a little too bent.

nice sketch but watch the distance between the base of the nose and the mouth. Don't let your left side of the brain fool you and make that distance using the tip of the nose.

hey man the new sketch is looking great! just remember what i said about the mouth, try to apply line weight to it, it doesn't have to be totally outlined...you can always suggest the form with various shadows and highlights

the best way i guess is just look at how da pro's do it keep up the great stuff!

yo dude, about the boxer pic, i did some quick gesture sketches of someone getting knocked out. first of all, the body is too straight up and down, there needs to be some big sweep with his body. if he's unconscious and knocked out, he probably just took a big blow to his head, so his head should be the first thing going in the direction he's falling, with his body trailing next, and his arms and legs last. if he's off balance, he needs to be like, REALLY off balance, to give it more drama, so he should be leaning over more. again, these are just quick sketches; if you wanna go further with the piece, i would advise looking up some pictures of boxers (or just regular people) getting knocked out, and do some studies and sketches. good luck with the piece. the rendering is coming along, its just the other stuff. take care dude; hope these help.

Where do I start? That guy with the mohawk and war paint, the guy with the top of his brain exposed, the interesting portrait of the girl on the last page; great stuff lately and so uniquely Asoir. I always look forward to visiting. Your stuff is inspiring. You the man and thanks for commenting on my posts and being so supportive.
