    Calader's Sketchbook *Updated Dec2011*

Hi there, at last I decided, to start my sketchbook here, and try and update as frequently as possible. So, this is some recent stuff:

Some random girl char sketchs form yesterday, started like an attemp of detail studies over some silhouete/gesture sketches, but I havent been to successful at detailing, must try harder i gues...

Roooooostesmen, that was the previous such attempt...

Some random silhouetes on the flight...

WIP of two chars, that I hope to bring further...

Some bedtime armour studies from yesterday, must take some rest from drawing girls !

Detail exercise, not mutch idea in it, trying to rise the format (A4), I usualy make most ok my sketches and thumnails in 8x8cm sketchbook, and now trying to get rid of the habit of scribling tiny stuff...

Some facial detail studies from reff...

Ang here, some not so recent stuff in color, most of it work in progress, some
things that I should have finished log ago if I had the thime, but I'm still not willing to abandone, and some random sketches...

    Random environment:

Redesign of some ancient character of mine:

another random atempd at doing something more finished

    ...

    Random sketches:

Thats' it for now all c&c will be wellcome.

Fresh work here! I'm curious about the brush you use for your digital brushwork? It looks triangular...

Your armor studies are gery good....your sense of structure is extremely well-developed!

Your characters have some variety but they could move further away from an idealized form for more variety. like a fat person armor, old old dude with sword. etc.

Thanks all for the positive feedback,
Ian Mack, you're absoluteley right abour abot tryin differend tipes, "old old dude with sword" that was exactly my thoughts even before reading your reply, someone have been reading minds recenly eh. About the brushes, I generaly use, rough squarish chawk type brush, somtimes the good old round brush, and a palleteknife-like brush more recently(on the roosters), and various other more specific brushes here and there if needed.

And for tis evening this is all I managed to do, decided start little campeign to settle my score with the damned hands, started with some studies from one of Hogarth anatomies...not mutch but its some start...

Isnt Zatoichi great? lovely style, everythings got like a hint of being really tightly rendered and ... not at the same time, maybe its because youve got all your value ranges down... something i gotta learn.

    Great stuff

    Hi there,

These are really great, I especially like the greyscale designs, they have an immediacy and spontanaity about them which I envy. I also love the colour palettes on your painted work.

    Look forward to seeing more
