DSG 1142: Sci-Fi: HIGH-SPEED ARMORED CYCLES RACING TOWARD CITY WALL ENGAGE THE ENEMY

    [ Kinda 1 part complex + 2 parts hackneyed, perhaps... ]

[ Just something a little cranked up, since yesterday's bit was maybe a little dry. ]

    Hi,

Here is my entry. The wall became more of an organic structure and the cycle more a space vehicle but for the rest I stayed on topic

It may look like a scrapheap, but New Frisco is a real oasis, and the holy grail for every low life pirate scumbag in the area, sometimes desperate enough to attack with nothing more than an armored bike, a few weapons and the skin on their back.

Nice work, and remember .. perspective perspective perspective .

rudszy has some nice tension with the camera pulling the eye in on the Vanishing point and with the main character stoping the eye in its tracks by shooting in the exact opposite direction , but... the vanishing point is a bit too near the picture edge for comfort..

    My entry .

I wish the projects at work would finish already so I can re-start drawing more .
Will appreciate critique anywhere, anytime .

Oddo - I couldn't possibly love this any more. It's almost the exact image that struck my mind when I read the prompt. Great job!

    Good job everyone! Some attaboys(girls?)/observations:

Marvin5 - I like the design of your bike. The samurai style flag on the back is a nice touch.

Hamsta - I like how you showed the bullet traces in the sand. Nice.

dfx_outlaw - I like your heavily defended wall.

Demiurgic - The monster bones incorporated with the chopper is a cool idea.

Steve255 - Don't be down on yourself. I stuggle with the digital as well. We can only get better right?

Hi all! It's been a couple of months since I posted, and I miss this place terribly

[shameless plug] Check out my sketchbook to see what I've been up to...
Vulgar, thanks for reminding me of my roots!

GreyGhost Why so small? I'm having a bit of a hard time figuring things out, and it's more than just the size of the thing. Are they racing towards a gate, with the walls looming above them?
Looks like you render each shape seperatly, rather than the vehicle as a whole, and it seems a light source is working exclusively on the bikes, without affecting the enviorment.

    Oddo: totally spot on!
Sometimes I really don't understand why poeple don't go for some wild perspective when they get such a topic...

Oddo: as people have said before me, spot on.

Hideyoshi: Well tbh I think your fears are right, it's too hard, or rather it's easier not to so - people don't. I've had the same problem myself, but I've been getting over it lately (I've mostly drawn nature/humans, so I could more or less avoid the problem, but I noticed that when I started drawing machines etc. they all came out flat for I didn't dare; silly me).

Yes, I thought a gate would be the weekest point in a wall. Although, troops wheeling ramps up to the walls and bikes jumping over would have looked cool.

I agree. Lighting is one of my many struggles. I had thought of putting a full moon in the sky and work from there but I just ran out of time. Speed is another one of my struggles. It takes me forever to paint with the tablet and Painter. Hopefully, with time I'll improve.

    Thanks for the feedback Hamsta!

Sandworm - That's human insanity. It's crucial that you continue to sketch while you still wield the orb.

Hideyoshi and Dan Liimata need to unleash that beast as well..

    I await..
