    Telohs' Sketchbook

    Hello there...

I'm Olav Telneset from Norway, Trondheim, and I'm 18 years old. Been lurking here for some years, even had a sketchbook a while ago, but I got tendinitis and got some time to think. So now I want to make a new sketchbook with a different name. Been drawing for 2 - 3 years now, although almost 1 of those years I didn't draw due to freaking tendinitis which is a total pain. Okay, enough ranting about that. Now i'm back in the game and are psyched about drawing, not completely sure what to do with my life, but I guess it have to be something about drawing or making music.

So yeah, starting this up because I want to push myself further, and maybe this sketchbook will be a motivation. Also the community here seems pretty awesome, so I hope to get some feedback Be as rough as you want! I can handle it ! Anyways, going to start up with some drawing over the past half year. I'll promise to upload fresh stuff in the future. Just though it could be cool to have some content in the first post :3

Sorry for the crazy amount of maybe uninteresting stuff.. But I had to have something. Also please tell me if the sizes of the images are too large. There are lots of Michael Hampton studies there btw his book Figure Drawing design and invention is really neat.

Moved all images to new post, makes things easier

Hey man thanks for stopping by my SB.
Really enjoy your studies, I like them flow of contours in your studies, and your proportions seem fine to me! Keep pushing dude.

@Lane. Thanks for the tip! I will definitively try to do more life studies. I did one in the update now

hey, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook! keep up the anatomy studies, i also like that you are practicing a wide range of stuff. facial anatomy needs some work but just keep drawing lots and lots and lots and you will continue to improve. maybe slow down every once in a while and really look at what you are drawing, fast studies and gestures are good but it's good to take some time for some of them too. keep it up!

Cheers for stopping by my SB again man, really appreciate the kind words.
From what I can see your anatomy studies are already improving and you just need to keep on practising (just like me!)
For your digital's and approach it almost like your digital portrait in post #18
you blocked in the darkest parts of the face, showing the mass of the eye socket, and worked with big shapes, if you look at a lot of pro artists they often do that, work with bigger shapes then refining into more detail, keep pushing man!

What i like about your sketches is that you seem to have some freedom to do many subjects. And i really agree with the reference stuff, not just because i use a lot but it can really help you with the finishing level of a piece.

I was just wondering if you take SS or download the movies screenshots from some website...

    Anyways, keep it up.
