I have received a response to a question in the Painter forum that was very helpful to me and I want to thank the person using the forum's apparatus for registering such thanks. I have explored the FAQ and the user interface and I have found no way to do that.
I see that some people who have received very few thanks have actually deserved more than they have received, so other forum users may be unaware of how to do this as well. If you enter "Thanks" in the FAQ search, you don't get a result.
"Thanks" in advance for telling me how to do this.

Can you see the "Thanks" button in the lower right-hand corner of the posts?
That is the button you click when you want to thank someone.
Emily, your answer is very clear... yet I do not see a button for thanking! Could I see a screenshot? Do I have to have a particular qualification or have to have some option turned on? I'm sorry that this is a little redundant, but thank you very much for helping me if you find time.![]()
You should not have to turn anything on to see the thanks button, but sometimes it doesn't load for some people and they don't see it.
Note that the thanks button appears on others' posts, but not your own (you can't thank yourself). So that's why there is no thanks button on my post in the image since I took the screenshot while logged in.

Thank you so much for your help! It still isn't showing up, unfortunately. I am using Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11 and Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.11. I also tried on two other computers (mac and another pc).
I hope it can one day load properly so I can thank you.![]()
Huh, that is so strange that it isn't even showing up for you on other computers.
My next suggestion was to clear your cache, but if it's not even working on other computers I don't know if that would help.
Bummer! Sorry for dragging this out! But I wonder if I can contact someone who can help? Maybe it's a weird glitch? (Perhaps I can PM someone who can help)?
I tried clearing my caches multiple times.. I just keep seeing posts like below.. i marked the lack of thanks buttons with the red Xs:
Is it happening in all of the forums? I would pm Davi about it.
Yep, it does happen in all the forums. Will do.
quick question. how do I make my avatar appear in forum (thread list, not in my own thread, but overall) there's just a blank square
thanks ,now i have very clear some doubts that i had before......
Ah, all the info I needed with in the first page. Thanky
kasia88, the thumbnail is created from the first image you attach to the first post in your thread.
The attachment feature is the button that looks like a paperclip.

O.K now let`s ROCK
Just a quick question: I tried to upload my work, but get an error page...and cannot upload a single thing! What am I doing wrong?? Or is it a temporary error that will be fixed soon? Forgive the question if it's already fixed...I am totally new here..so..thanks!
Amir the night wolf--you cannot remove a poll from your sketchbook once it has been created.
Karmicserenade--if you are clicking on "upload" in the UserCP (right under My Profile) then that doesn't work. I think it's something that's being worked on. If you want a place to showcase your work, create a sketchbook thread in the sketchbook forum. You can upload your work in the thread using the attachment feature, which is the button that looks like a paperclip.
ThanX guess just gotta delete itand make a new one
ThanX again

hi!
can someone tell me, if it can be done, how to resize an image attachment in my post?
You'll have to edit your post, remove the original attachment, and attach the resized version.

Hi there im new to this place, and im sure this has already been brought up but i cant find it.. How do i make a link to my SB, without having the whole link you know "http://..." How do i make it just say "My sketchbook" for an example?
Type the words "My sketchbook" and select them with your cursor. Click on the button that looks like a world with a piece of chain by it. It will ask you for the URL. Put in your link and hit "Ok."
I first ran across this forum while doing a Google search for, um ... anatomically correct satyrs, centaurs, werewolves and such. It was a link to one such oic that lead me here. But when I signed up the forum rules stated that sexually oriented posts were not allowed here. Is there an adults only section here where this type of material is allowed and can be found? Even posting requests for pics of Medusa in the nude could be considered sexually oriented. What is the proper protocol for this? I do not want to start off on the wrong foot here by unintentionally breaking the rules Any help will be greatly appreciated.![]()
Actually, we're pretty laid back about sexual content here. Just be sure to put some sort of warning (nudity, not work safe, etc) in the thread title so people who want and/or have to avoid such things can.

Thank you. I appreciate the help.
Now that I know it is OK to ask, how should I go about my quest to find erotic pics of mythical creatures and other assorted monsters? I have tried doing searchs with key words such as nude, satyr, werewolves, and such but keep coming up with unrelated images. Any hints on a better way to go about this?
Those kind of images may exist on this site, but honestly I think they are pretty rare.
