    Wow. One year ago you started? That's inspiring. You have a very wonderful sense of color - and working in watercolor, too. Really nice, loose, organic brush stroke. Got any tightly rendered pencil/charcoal/ink studies you'd like to throw at us?

    ::Bluefruitbowl:: Eh thanks for passing by. I started around december 2005 so its more than a year ago. I used to love drawing when I was a kid but music went in the way and ended up being a musician.

    Here I show you some stuff I did in the last year so you have an idea on what I have been doing. Right now I am mostly sketching and painting watercolors. I have tons of others but I try to show as much variety of medium and things I tried. Normally one experiment is turning out in a serie of 3 to 7 of swensibly the same. Except for anatomical studies.

    TodAY's work is my wife portrait.

    Also someone would be nice enough to explain me how to show avatar in the thread list? Or tell me where is the info. I found how to show it within the sketchbook but not in the sketchbook list. Many thanks

    Hey Solon! It's demented from SoFA!

    Great to see your work here, your watercolours are great! Like that you are being so aggressive with the medium, attacking your painting rather than the finicky approach so often adopted.

    Keep posting! Also, check out Dave Kang's thread in the Finally Finished section if you have not done so already . Some of your portraits remind me of his work!

    ciao!

    (even though there's probably more to it than that alone) that's a great way of putting it...

    ::saa:: Thank you, trying to paint everyday

    ::Tensai:: I am exploring as much as possible. Sometimes going tighter so after I can relax and be fresher in another piece with a bit more knowledge from strugling.

    ::Brendan:: Eh hi there, thanks for passing by. People seem nice here and tons of amazing artists. I am aiming for efficiency and freshness (attach style but to get there I have to be anal and go for the study sometimes, like today.

    ::shyamshriram:: Thank you for the stars!

    ::undergroundsean:: Thanks for passing by!

    Watercolor self-portrait.

    Oooh, watercolours. You do them nicely too AND improving. Nailing most of the colours. I never do that, heh.
