Hmmm... your todo is eerily similar to mine. Except the draw is underlined a couple times and more saturation and hue shifts are combined under study colour.

You couldve slowed down more on the car studies, I agree with DIle that taking more time would help you retain more.
Also, why would you scribble on top of a drawing, write crap crap crap on it, and yet still upload it online? Some self-censorship wouldnt hurt.

Wow Justin, great work on that digital paint there. It's your best digital so far, I'd say.

The insomnia pics are nice too, you definately got some good likeness down on them.

I know this is futile, but try not to stress too much about how things are going to pan out. You've got more drive and talent than 99% of people your age, and even if all your plans don't work out at the time being, you will reach your goals on way or another. You aren't the kind of person to accept failure for even a moment, so don't fret too much if your to-do list seems intimidating. You're going to succeed one way or another, I'd bet my life on it. dude big props on your improvement since montreal. Slow down a bit and get some good finished works under your belt. Finish the master study too! Use the master study to really slow down and STUDY the picture! Look at stroke, value, concentrate on your edges etc. You know the drills. Not much to say that hasn't been said already by SirGreenSock and Dile.

uhm...stop getting better tho, you and dile are making me feel lazy.

Nothing much to crit, keep doing some.
Maybe also try to play around with line weight.
Add a bit of depth to those poses.
Besides that, the finished colored guy you did is looking great !

Hey Justin ,good progress. Your line art is improving. You really need to work on the tonal values, they seem hurried and there isn't much depth. I think that you should try to spend more time on some pieces, becuase they end up looking sloppy with the quick tonal work.
Also, the turn around of the leg study doesn't line up, if your doing a ortho. view that's the most important thing.

lewmis!! Thanks for reminding me, gotta get back into my anatomy studies again.

Quick tip for the hand studies: Consider overlap and the palm itself a bit more. Youre getting good form with the fingers and thumb, but the palm looks like a stiff flat board with protruding fingers. Always try to put the curving of the palm into consideration, as well as its own fleshy masses. On the larger hand study for example you'd expect to see more of the fleshy mass/skin between the thumb and knuckle of index finger, as well as the origins of the fingers themselves. They appear to be more on the same level, I think the index and pinky ought to be positioned a bit lower to get the sense of the turning palm.

First off, thank you for starting a sketchbook, i learned so much just by reading the comments that others have left.

I wont do and comment on technique,style, or anything else that is far far above my head. I will however point out that you have been working very very hard faithfully searching for that one something that you can call your own. I have seen some improvement myself your noses all looked that same on page one and two, now none of them do. Same with your initial faces... Blind contours? What's that. I have some sort of understanding of that now that i have read and seen 100% of your sketchbook.
