Looking awesome, bro. Is the one head-on-headshot dated 21/10/06 a self portrait? It's got something special to it.

Jake: thanks ! I'm currently thinking of some ideas i could finish completely. I'll see if it happens

Tiger: thanks man !! keep updating too, your latest pencils are good =)

oma: lol they're coming don't worry! thanks

    Lot: thanks !

marco: i'm glad you're liking them

Brendan: Ok. Well if you have any idea on how we could make it work, tell me =) Thanks !!

Trashy: thanks man ! If you need any help you can ask me.

Justin: thank you ! I'm a bit unsatisfied by them myself, I'll do some more and get comfortable with more interesting and natural figures. thanks again for dropping by!

    Cup: you're welcome!

Asgardian: well, i haven't any specific paper used. Just normal printing paper. But i reckon the smoother the easier it is to render.

Spade: hehe, thanks ! I got a bit away for a while, msn keeps loading crap scripts on IE. I'll try to get online more often. Thanks again for your find =)

    Rodrigo: thanks a lot!

Jason: hey ! yeah, it's an sp.

Shinryu: thank you very much !!

So for today, just quick sketches. Didn't have a lot of time because of homework :s
The first one's a portrait for a friend, second some poop i did during class with a friend (she did the tiny circles and the two big hands), then a 5 minute Mims study (that guy is awesome!) , an sp and finally retouched quickly a previous one. More stuff to come...especially digis!!

Dude your getting better at creating form with line, its good progress.

One thing http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1163017184 theres quite a difference in the size of the eyes on this piece, the pupil as well as the eye itself which is throwing me off a bit.

    More!

Brendan: thanks a lot !! That portrait was the original idea i wanted to do for the 1st of November.. but dunno why i chose a normal portrait ^^

Asgardian: thanks for the advice. Eyes are still sometimes a pain for me. Did a quick Hogarth study of them. I'll keep practicing, thanks again !!

    You know what. FUUUCK YOU

These are gorgeous man, loving the hands on that soul keeper's minion. The value structure is great, might need some small and soft highlights on the abdomen but it's really looking great.

Skeleton & Skull = freakin outwordly rendering. continue like this and you'll give Wes a good run for his money in the future.

EDIT: Oh yeah dude, wanted to know - are you using wooden or mechanical pencils? You stuff always looks so sharp, but then you have great line variety and I can't tell which??

    ciao!

Don't throw out your pencils yet, either, although I think you could really go places with PS.

Tiger: thanks ! yeah, i think i might color some that i like.

kaoki: thanks man! keep posting the nice colors too =)

Brendan: yeah i enjoyed doing them. The skeleton was fun to do too.. but kind of long since it's on a3 paper. And yes, I use a normal mech pencil with an hb lead. I don't know where they're coming from, but they're nice to use. Sharp and hard enough to get nice lines, and smooth and soft enough to do some nice shading...but there's no way i'm getting near wes... =)

    J a k e: thanks !!

Spade: thanks. I really want to try some inks these days. I'll try to get some.. if i don't i'll just use an equivalent on ps.

Marco: hehe, thanks. Still life... humm that would sound cool to do

    Cup: thanks, i'll try !

    Kim (am i right ? :> ) : Glad you like 'em. they're coming !!

Thegnoll: thanks ! yeah, i'll do some more don't worry =)

Dile: thank you very much for your support!

    Kicek: i'm working on them.

    Moopuff: Glad you're liking them.

    Blacky: thanks !!

Trashy: thanks for the nice comment !!!

here's a very quick paint over of one of the previous sketches.
It's a bit rushed, but i'll work on it more. Don't bother with the edges, i'll work on them with the surrounding black color around the character.
Gotta a few sketches on paper, but i'll post them later.
    Crits are welcome !!

    Awesome Daniel!
Looks really good so far, can't wait to see those pencils!
With the skin tones - try adding some reds and yellows in with it, a slight colour variation can work wonders!
Many thanks for the tips in my sb - found them very helpful!

    ciao!
