Painting in Process-Landscape

Heres my first proper sketch-paint in PS.
As my Painter has crashed on me a few times, I have started looking for alternatives, but my earlier forays into PS were rather unsatisfactory, so I asked around alittle bit, how do so many painters get these painterly skills in PS. After some searching and shit, Shreya(Iridyse) helped me with a few custom brushes. Which turned out to be awesome....
So thanks Shreya. You are a sweetheart

And below is the result, its far from good.. but I happy with the brush strokes.

Hey guys,
Havent updated much this week I guess, been tinkering around with new ideas and execution as well as custom brushes in PS, finding more about textures and all.
Heres one of the tests., thanks to the original uploaders and creators of brushes and to Shreya for sharing the links.

That last one is cool. love the texture.

But i think you should pay more attention to some of your edges. Some of them seem kind of fuzzy and blurry.

also noticed on the templesmith colouring- the focal point of the glowing eye and the girl are competing too much...maybe pick one to be dominant?
