Chuckmate-Thanks mang! Means a lot coming from ya!

primalpate-I'm always aiming for better. I'd love to have some specific crits on my anatomical shortcomings. Thanks for the suggestions!

Poshspice-My favorite spice, and another compliment from one of my CA heroes. Thanks bro!

Vulgar-Hoi, the star trail is actually a really good idea, maybe something graphic like, in pastel blue. I'll have to give it a shot when I've got some extra times.

zweiDee-I use both. Usually Painter just to get a rough sketch and very basic texture/values in. Then I often take it into photoshop and finish it up... Here's a quick look at my process in a speed paint. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/...e+-in%3Ascraps
This was all done in photoshop, but the first and second images are usually what I do in painter in the first five or six minutes of an idea. Hope that helps.

Andyparkart-Hell yeah, brother! I just sent in all the bground check stuff, so we'll see what happens next!! I'm totally looking forward to the opportunity, if it works out!

stalsby-I did do a bit more, spent another hour or two on it, just cleaning up the girls face, and adding some more details to bring the eye more gently into the background. Take a look!

As per usual, crits are totally welcome!

Thanks to everyone! For all the awesome comments and support! You guys totally help to push me to keep going with it. Hopefully I'll have a wave of new art to show really soon. Thanks again!

oh,i'd rather say you're moving towards hussar-ism,albeit less dirty and surely not as weird yet
so keep going,i'm enjoying it in any case.
edit: and on second look,i'm enjoying it even more. all those subtle changes you don't notice at first glance (in texture f.ex.)

So very rare... but here are some ACTUAL Cannibalcandy (Izzy Medrano) creature/ character concepts-now with some tasty orthos:

Each set of designs took about a week including orthos and whatnots... It was pretty exhausting, doing them after the normal job, but it's ALWAYS good to have complete thingies in your book. That being said, I totally welcome crits and suggestions so they will be a nice addition to said book.
    Thanks!

    ------------------
-Verbatim: Thanks, bro! How's things with you? I suggested you in my list of bad ass mofos to replace me at Neversoft, you get a call from them at all?

-Ikuru: Do they have cateracts too?

-Carnifex: I've always loved the Mike Hussar. He's definitely at the top of the list of favorites!

And thanks to everyone else for taking a look at my humble filthiness!
    Big love from LA!

    dude...

    the nipples have eyes.....

maybe thats what our friend Primalpate was indicating to? in that your nipples are eyes, not nipples? i dunnoez man..

hah really, that one with the falling nubs guy is so delicious.. i love the fact you chose to light him in a not-so-average way. looks as if youve implied obstructions between the light source - like maybe a beam or two - and the figure. i like. i really really like. post more. ktxh.

    wow...
have to say I am 90% inspired and 10% freaked out a bit
or is it 10% inspired and 90% freaked out?

Really moving work and wonderfully executed. Love your rendering style and color and lighting sense (especially on little things like that blue glowing oxen thingy)

Your favourite movie must be boxing helena right?

have to say that last one of the little girl with the eye nipples reached out and punched me square in the face (that part just under the nose but above the mouth that smarts so much)
not making any judgements or anything like that just ...wow crazy shit,
    very on the edge.

    keep up the cool work.

Amazing work man, simply mind blowing!!! Did you have to do a top view for the orthos or no. I always wonder if those are really necessary.
