    interesting sketches!
i would like to see you dedicate some time on a piece, take it as far as you're able to, then i'll critique it's ass off... because at the moment all we see is sketches. They change a lot when tightening so do some tightening !

cheers and thanks for the sb drop bys!

    Hello,

I like your pencils, interesting and some unique concepts there

As hurricane mentioned, I would love to see a fully rendered piece completed, or spend some more time over an image.

I read your above comments about feeling down on your art and what you are producing. Well keep it up, and try fit in abit of drawing every day and you will see very big improvements fast.

I would love to see more detail in your pieces such as an early one like this : http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1161627847

    Keep it up

    ~Hurricane : Oh damn. busted....
The reason I post so many sketches is because I almost always tend to like them more than the final-piece. I know what I want to draw and create, but I can't put it on paper. But I guess your right. I have to practice, and keep trying. Thats why I've started sevral new projects. All of these I will finish, and post here nomatter the outcome .......
~Hurley : Thanks mate. I'll keep 'em coming. and spend more time on each piece.
    Thanks for popping by!

And here we meet again. A new update. Another WIP of many others. All that I am going to take my time on, and post here. Please feel free to post any comments, or ideas. This is going to turn out to be an orcboss of some kind...

    Cheers!

New painting, gonna do many of these studies. Incredible how many interesting faces there are out there in the world!
Still a 40min++ wip, but already I've learned lots about values, and Painter, and myself! I'll keep posting the progress...

~Hurricane :Thanks mate, means allot to me that you pop into my SB. My PC was "sick" for a month and a half, so no new digital art to show. Though here is a small update on the monk's eyes. I know there are still many flaws, I see them... I'll fix them for the next update. I've also made some drawings and designs with pen and pencil, ill post soon.
~BOOM! :Thank you for your words, ill keep at it, hopefully every day. And don't worry, Hurri's words mean the world to me.

Anyways, here is the small update. soon some paper-scans!

Found some digital-sketches that I started on before my pc freaked on me...
The paper-scans will have to wait. I'll go outside and draw now, in the summer-weather, with a good, cold drink next to me!
Who knows, I might post an update on the monk later tonight. Feel free to share thoughts about anything

some of your character studies have a nice look and design, but i think that you need to improve some of your anatomy work. the last few figures seem to short. however, the facial study of the man in the hood is very well done, i like the form and lthe lighting is realistic. keep it up!

~Dabaers : Thanks for the comment mate. I know I have a far way to go to reach a certain point where even I would be happy with my art, but I'm fighting for it. All I want to do is improve my skills and learn. As you said, my anatomy is rough and vague. I know... trust me, I know. I'm actually busy reading some anatomy books and working more on my anatomy. I'll be posting these later! Cheers

Don't want to leave a comment without anything to show, so here is a scan of one of my SB-papers.
As said earlier, more to come in the future (the near future I hope.)

Yea, yea.. so I'm not the best updater.. but don't you worry, I'm drawing.. just nothing I like -_- Busy with many different drawings, both digital and traditional. They'll have to come later, if at all...
    SP of myself....duh
Didn't spend enough time on it, but it was fun messing around with colours and brushes. Painter is great... The SP is inspired by you know who.. (you should know!)

Bah, school has started again. I'm working, got sports and more :-s
But I'm doing my very best to put drawing into the hectic days!
to show this, here is an update! Digital-skull. showing some steps to show how I think...

    |1|The first lines were more for me than the image itself, didn't even use most of them. (tried to keep the refs in the back of my head, instead of next to my screeen)
    |2|Then the skull-line them self.... Oh my I must sketch more with Painter! -I'm terrible at it..
    |3|Background-colour.
    |4|And the base-colour, where I also put in the lightsource...

Each step is a layer in itself...
I'm planning on tightening it up more, but had to stop as it is, for now.
    CC are always welcome.

Your lines look very clean and harmonius- the shading is lacking in smoothness and value except for the weapons and some of the characters which look superb with a lot of effort clearly put in them. The gas-mask dude is wonderful. I'd love to see more anatomy and body studies the muscling is great. UPDATE MORE! For the love of the progression of the love of your art, man, keep drawing. Thanks for stopping by my SB by the way.

I have been so busy. Lots going on here, so unfortunately some things have suffered, but I believe that will change now
On this post I'm not thinking of posting much. -I want a major dump!
But here is a little preview, a first page in a NEW SketchBook! Booya!

I did this page late at night/ early in the morning. I was soooo tired, but couldn't sleep. insomnia? :-s anyways.. drew it in the dark, besides the moonlight from through the window. Wasn't thinking much of shading, ect ect... just trying to get down a idea. -as Bjørn Hurri suggested to me

Comments or suggestions are always welcome. Anything will do!
I want to improve en evolve. Help me on my way through a wild adventure!

but where's the updates? where's the update on the monk?

on the first page of the new sketchbook, if you like that design, you could redraw it and flesh out each design element. For an example you could take the shoulderpad, redraw it from another angle, play with it's shape and patterns, come to an conclusion and redraw the shoulderpad on the guy.

Just trying to give you new ways of thinking about your process

    keep on fighting!

I have been soooo busy lately. Seriously.
Work and school is practically raping my spare time... So unfortunately I haven't draw anything major lately. Only fast and primitive, (and boring) things I've created are black and white designs, idea for my school-logo/t-shirt for fun (that I never sent in to the contest...), and a few portraits I'll post when I'm happy with them....

    Hate not drawing more...

~Pencilator: Thanks mate. I guess it is a start. I'll get better, I'm sure of that. But Lately I've drawn little that I like... Even though Warhammer is a bloody good inspiration!

Been very hectic these few months. There always seems to be something popping up. But I have great belief in that all changing for the new year coming! Anyways, here is drawing I made a few days ago. Spent many hours on it. Trying to create something out of chaos. Not fully happy with it, but I still like it. except the eye, and mouth. Those still need work.

Highly inspired by the one and only Mr Jones. -maybe too inspired :-S

hey, like what you have going here, one suggestion I would make is just keep an eye on your line quality of your figures, the woman's torso that you posted is more successful than your earliest posts with the figures and hands because your line weight varies, giving the form a more natural feel, outlining the forms makes it read more flat. good creativity though, hope to see more soon!

Nice sketchbook, You have some cool stuff here, just keep working. And try to do some more whole figures, not just from the torso and up.

~zelda_geek : Well I took your advice. Now I'm drawing more whole figueres.. but I'm not so fond of them, they still need a lot more work. I might post them later.
Fett da, at du er fra Bergen. Jeg var forresten innom SB din. Mange gode ting der. Ikke gi deg! -skal nok legge fra meg en melding der også

Well I've been doing more studies. Colour and Shape. But one feel happy with the one. This one. I do feel it is finish, even though the face and hair didn't really get much attention. Spent about 45-55min on this. I like it, but what do you say? Do ya want more!??

I'm actually so happy lately. I have been drawing a lot more lately. And I am loving it to! Even though I've got so much more, I'm only gonna post a few digitals, just because I'm so lazy and tired cause it's so late. I'll post more later.

    Some are finished, others not.

Nice.. I like the dude with pistol alot, reminds me of cs
I loved the comic-like dude yelling, his features are very well constructed.. He's projecting an aura of power.
