~AA-ron : Yea, I've been playing more around with it^^, I've actually got an account on the zbrush forums, but for some reason I am not allowed to post anything... But if you have any good tutorials, or challenges, send em and I'll check em out

    ~shardana : Thank you!

An old one, and today's speed sculpt. More to come

Sorry for the large images, I'm lazy tonight...

Yea man, watch out, youll get addicted to zbrush haha. Good updates too. I had that happen with my first account on the zbrushcentral forums but then I created another and it was fine. I know they send an email confirmation, so if that didnt go through that might be the cause.
Any way, heres a link to some of the many mini sculpting challenges; http://forums.3dtotal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=94
The current challenge is a manimal (humanoid and animal) model, they supply the basemesh that you import. Theyre always fun its cool to post your concepts here. I did that with the past challenge; speed sculpting an orc's head. Id have to say the best place for info is zbrushcentral question & trouble shooting forums, challenges an main forum (plus the tutorial sections ). Keep it up!

Lookin good. Zspheres are pretty fun for getting down the form. I used to bash my head up against the wall while trying to do zsphere hands, but I think I finally got it. Theres a lot you can alter with the zsphere resolution settings to get a better setup too. Looks like all you need to do with the horned-head is add some eyes, paint it and comp it in photoshop. More more!

I actually think that last one is the best looking one so far, might have something to do with the sharpish edges and forms! Nice design.

Eyes are pretty easy, just make a 3dsphere a subtool under the subtool menu in the tools palette. Sculpts are looking better and better.

Um, those 3d things are really sweet. I've heard of Zbrush, and I'm thinking that being proficient in 3d modeling would be helpful in the industry....

How much is Zbrush, or can I get it for free? Or should I start out using another program instead?

    Awesome sketchbook, man!

~Lakka : Yea I agree. Starting to get the feel of the program (though I still don't know half the features!) -not sure what I'm gonna do. Think I'm gonna leave these be. Want to explore the software more before I go 1337...

~AA-ron : Seems easy, but still can't get it to work the way I want... I need to play around with it more, but thanks!

~drd : ZBrush is pretty easy once you learn the features, just like any program. I've actually tried Mudbox also a little, seems sweet as well. Just search and try the trails. BUT! I would look for tutorials first and watch them several times before the trail. It sucks when you have 30days to LEARN the software instead of playing with it...

~Maidith : trust me, I've gone through the same thing. I tried 3D a looong time ago, and failed. But now tutorials are helpful! -that, and I refuse to just quit

Quick Portrait study before bed. Those eyes were sooo interesting. I bet you he has experienced things we couldn't even imagine...

    Heja Brann!
    Good stuff in here...
    Interesting 3D experiments...

I would say that most of your digi, although nice, lack character...maybe try to be more audacious... leaving some bold strokes, hard edges...
Keep it up and it will come along nicely

~algenpfleger, kidult, Homeless Foxman : Thanks to the three of you, I'll give it another try when I actually have more time... exams suck, as I've mentioned before. -but life ROCKS!

talking about rocking! Hurricane ROCKS! He is totally the best
I love his art. period. Here is a dedication to him. A quick 2,5hour 3D based on a concept he made a while ago. I started of with a mesh I downloaded from Pixologic's site.
Obviously it isn't even near his skills, but fun to make non the less!

under 45 minutes each of pure fun. Used the same plain simple head basemesh on them. I actually had 2 more, but since ZBrush crashed several times, and my lack of saving enough...

    ~Chris_Grisham : Thanks, I will.

~Flaskpost : Cheers mate. Love your stuff!

Small update. Tried Painters Sargent brush, so I thought I might as well use it on a masterstudy by Sargent! Around an hour on it. Keeping the focus on the face, and simplifying the values. I've got the step by steps if anyone wants to see the simple process...
And another late night quick sculpt. Ideas are bubbling! -but need sleep
