Hi this is my first thread (old works update 22/11/2006)

I like different art styles, those fat and skinny dude are my aniamtion's character, but I can't finish the animation and fail the subject , that character with wing is a demon in my mind, to me all demons are angle before so they have different wings, I want to model that character too but again end up I can't finish him. I really hope you guys can give me critiques and comments, because I am in the stage changing my coloring style, I try to through my anime style to approach oil painting.

hey nice things you have here!
Love both the drawings the animation figures are truly funny and well drawn and I love the angel/demon drawing. I can't figure out if there is something I can critisize, but it might be cool if both sides had different colours in the outfit and perhaps the evilside could have more tribal-like things in the armour. But hey, that's just a detail. Keep up the good work!

Whoa, that's some solid work. The coloring of the demon is awesome, and the orthos look real pro. Nothing to complain about there, you seem to know what you're doing.
I'm no good at painting, myself, so I can't really give any pointers there.. but it's a shame to have such a well-rendered character illo and no real background. It just looks like they've set him up for a model shoot or something. The shadow on the ground is a bit sloppy as well, and it looks like the ground plane is curving, like he's standing on a big cylinder.
The drawings are real good though, awesome detail level.

this is great work.. but along with what was just mentioned above, the lighting of the room doesnt match the figure. demon guy seems to be shadowed and lit from some source of light that isnt there.. while the entire room seems to be flatly lit from another source. doesnt match. its a nice piece.. but the mismatched lighting is distracting. all in all its good work - JAG

icarus2912 thank you man, I do try to make his other half of body looks different, but end up he looks like a bit gay feeling so I give up

Ragathol thank you man, I obsess on line man, I have nope way to color on top of my line so I always paint the background after I finish a character so the bg is so not fit to the character, I will show you what I mean, I need to pass through this, you see I will draw a line and then use black and white, after I finish the character I will paint a bg so the bg is so doggy

Oh yeah, I do exactly the same thing. When the character is finished, I start thinking that maybe I should have a background as well... But at that stage, I just wanna be finished, so I usually end up just throwing a photo in there or something.. -_-
Anyway, for your painting... You do a b/w lightmap first for the whole pic, then colorize on blending layers? That sounds pretty interesting.. It's easier to paint lighting in grayscale, truly.

I also send you guys my old arts, I was completely a anime lover at that time, so I enjoy anime, but now I want to change to more oil painting feeling, but that is so difficult, sometimes I want to stab myself with tablet pen, actually I did that sometimes haha

I know your pain buddy, if I screw up a painting I imagine myself kneel on the floor take the pen and spill my guts while performing a sapuku

Great work btw, I totaly loved your manga ! there's nothing to comment about really... well execpt the design of the fat guy, which I find disutbing and offending... but I don't know the reason for this.

Keep up the good work and good luck with your project!

This is some nice work. I love the angel/demon character, your linework is just as good as your use of color. I also love the anime character with the swords. Great stuff, post more if you have any.

Nice work, really. Very clear. Love the woman-evil-plant-thing.
Just don't like these split in half characters, like your angel.
    Keep it up, post more.

I just checked out your first page and that stuff is awesome. I'd advise to either fix the measurements or take them off b/c I'm not sure if a person is less than 3 meters tall or taller. I like the hybrid devil/angel you got going on there...love the lines! I'll check out the rest and I'll edit this
