yay you're alive!Good to see your updates, the last crab reminds me of an arena fight :p
Woo very cool stuff mate.
More environments please.
Nice sketch work. I really like the hatching work the most. Looks like more love is put into those sketches. Don't like the big black marker deal.... for me it is distracting from the sketches.
Ah man, tooo nice this page. Improvement on all levels! I just love your sketches, this one is especially nice, very dense. Studies, anatomy, all nice. Hope you can keep this speed up, you're flying man!
glad your back
nice environments, and a good go on the anatomie.
Grafguy: thanks man!
Jabo: Thanks! Now if only I could improve as fast as you!
liquidjack: Thanks for the input! no markers in this round!
Lav, Lyno: Thanks!!!!
I hit sketch page 100 for the year! (Honestly, I have mixed feelings about it. Because while I know it is probably the most I sketching I have ever done in a year, it actually is nowhere close to how much I feel I should be doing.)
Anyways, not too much to show for the past two weeks. I blame holidays and my long distance girlfriend being in town....
Nice studies man, but it looks like you have some problems placing the head right in those difficult perspective views (page 2). Maybe some guidelines can work, or try drawing the head in a box.
cool stuuff, though looking at those posemaniac studies made me think you need to work on your proportions and flow of poses, its good but could be better!
Hey guys! A full update and replies to come in a day or so, but I just wanted to toss this up!
its a character I'm working on for a client. He is a 'rover goblin' who basically collects junk until he has a literal mountain of the stuff.
The first is my interpretation of the brief, the second is after the first round of revisions..
Nice anatomy studies. I noticed the "shortening effect" as well when I focus on muscles.
First phase of your concept looks good....any silhouettes? I like using silhouettes with little highlights to feel out the structure when making a character concept. Ninja'd that idea from Feng Zhu ...really clean drawing concept artist.
i like the second paint, seems like a fun concept![]()
MUTHA FUCKIN WHALE!
Sweet stuff goin on here, I really like your digitals. The coloured woman in post 370 is looking good, but her nose looks a bit odd. fix that and it'll be great.![]()
"I wish to paint in such a manner as if I were photographing dreams" - Zdzislaw BeksinskiMy Happy Little Sketchbook, please check it out and help me get better!
My TUMBLR!
Cool goblins. My favorite is the 2nd one. Maybe, in order to sell the concept better, you could show some of the stuff the goblin is carrying around on? right now my first thought was that it was a giant egg. I was thinking something long the lines of:

Anyhow, great piece! looking forward for more.
You have a really nice balence of formal studies and concept art. Your faces are nice and expressive and your sense for anatomy along with environments seems very well rounded. I like your concepts while they are still rough and dirty though, when you tighten up sometimes it loses a little bit of its magic.
The insectman on the last page was really great before you tightened it up, though I think this might be a color theory thing. Still strong afterwards, but I find that its slightly less intriguing.
Also, don't be afraid to twist and bend the torso a little bit more.
Hey man where you at?
been a long time since youve updated this SB![]()
hahahah motherfucking whale !
fuck youuuuuuuuu DOLPHIN ! and
FUCK YOU WHALE!!!
nice stuff, it iis growing stronger!
New year, new goals, new thread.
This year, my resolution is to draw 1000 sketch pages. So far I have drawn about 115.
Here are some of my favorites.
And I suppose I could show this line up of characters I did for a freelance gig too.
This is all I'm prepared to show right now, but I have some stuff cooking for GDC.
cool to see new sketchesnow back to weekly updates!

woohoo updates!
looking good man
characters look cool but the robot misses some extra details
That goblin you did was just incredbile... i could really feel his slightly mischevous nature. Reminded me of my brother
But... the highlight of this page, for me, was the MOTHER FKN SPIDER CRICKETS!!! I laughed so hard (lack of sleep didnt help), first original thing id seen al day.
Hello fine people! Here's a little sketch that I started today.
I'll be logging in a lot more now, so expect updates and comments!!
digging the updates man keep them coming
have a good one

Thanks OmertA!!
Small update on this guy, might kill the fin things on the shoulder pad....
Hey dude! that line up of three characters you did looks really cool, lots of personality in them, and your sketch pages look great! That last character has a cool design, but I think it suffers because his face is looking a little flat compared to the rest of him. Our eye is immediately drawn to the face of a character since it is the most recognizable aspect, so spend enough time to make it readable and have personality. Keep it up!
Began a photo study today. I clearly should be doing more of these....(And will!)
Cool thing your back man! Photostudies are cool to do
.
ooo mate you have done great improvement!!!Very nice work, i like very much all the skeches and characters you are producing.
keep up the improvement
