I really like that "demo-lition" page. And the pencil rendering on your most recent looks good, especially the lighting on the bottom left guy with his arms out.

the sketches look great as always, but the enviorments (especially the 2nd one) seem to lack perspective.
and in the portrait u apparently focused to much on copying the picture instead of making a paint
    just my humble 2 cents

Hi Sublimus, nice sketches, you captured his unique features in each drawing so that's a good thing. I agree with doing more color studies For the first one, I think it's lacking some depth, nothing big though.

Grafguy: One the drawing, I see what your saying. Pen can be unforgiving! (no excuse though xD ) And one the painting, yeah I don't do too much from photo ref, so it will be a bit a learning curve for me to get it right.

Lyno: Thanks for your thoughts dude!

So I finished my beer, and this is how far I got. I'll probably pick it back up in the morning. And I'll have a small step by step too.

Yeah cool start. The only tip I can give you now is that you can use cooler vs warmer colors to create more depth. Very nice start.
Looking forward to those steps, cause I really suck at environments.

your stuff is really cool!...I specially like your sketches on paper...nice values, generally great atmosphere...thanks for stopping by mine! the color study on the girl(post 282) seems really muddy compared to your other othe things on this page, I'm not sure why but I would suggest using larger brushes to try and capture the greater details before little lines and hairs, specially around the eyes.. keep it up!

cool new sketches, and i really like your latest enviroment work. Tho that babe portrait scares me a bit, i think she's looking at me real mean, maybe because of her lips.

    Great stuff

Your figure sketches are sweet but it would be cool to see some more finished digital or oil paintings of the figures, the portrait is a good start and tho you said you find it hard I think it would benefit you alot to push forward with it. Your last environment was awsome, loved the colours
Thanks for commenting my sketchbook man, its appreciated

Saurus: Yeah dude, you're right. I wasn't concentrating on the right things when I did it. its tough to break out of a drawing mindset.

    WHEW!

So Im fully moved in, and went o a little holiday too! Now its time to break off the rust and get to work!!!

yo Sublimus sorry haven't been by here as often as i should, but wtf man?! you go and level up crazy amounts since i've been here last!! Dood really digging your character design and enviro's much better, they have this looseness quality to it that doesn't have this tightness or stiff look like some of your previous sketches!!

I luv this one, just outright beautiful in terms of color choice, brush stroke economy, texture; simplified yet beautiful read on the eye! Great stuff, gonna keep a closer eye on you dood, cuz your work is blowing up!!
