I told ya man, I'd hire you.
Anyway- finally found your sketchbook. It's not like I'm particularly good at this or anything, but I'd definitely try to remember to start with your light and dark, remembering not to do ANY in between until the time is right. It really helps you set up your value relationships and describe three dimensional forms in a believable way. Too many highlights flatten things.
