something like that really requires an almost leap of faith. Do you believe you'll find what you need there? Does this place seem to have what you need and want as a budding artist? If so, then maybe yes, but do lots of research and make sure you're ready. Language alone can be an immense onstacle.

At the same time, studying abroad is a great opportunity, and if you have it now, i'd say take it. Kind of along the lines of living with no regrets you know? 'Cause how often do you even get to live and study in a cool place like Sweden.

Actually, just to clarify, the language-barrier (canada->sweden) isn´t that horrible. I know a handful of Swedes and hail from Denmark myself, and the english skills here are pretty thorough throughout both countries. We actually talk alot of english to one another, when the swedish gets too hurdi-hurdi-hurdi... . Hope I didn´t totally misspell this whole post or something, hehe...
Sorry I can´t be of any help with the school, but the swedes I know, are all living and studying in Denmark, wich I suppose isn´t that good then, since they´re migrating...

Did some recon, and found out, that konstfack is supposedly the best artschool in sweden! -For illustration and finearts. Another good thing, wich I think canadian students would also benefit from, is that the swedish government pays for the whole thing. No monthly/yearly fees there.. On the somewhat downside, admission requirements are very high, and it´s one of the hardest schools to get into in Sweden. Somewhat, because the bar is raised, by only taking in students at a certain technical level..

Talked to a buddy of mine from Boston, who talked about Sheridan College in Canada? If you want something more local, but I really have no idea how good that school is...

    Hope that was usefull...

It is notoriously difficult to enter Konstfack, but supposedly it is a quite good schol, they have most things in the artworld ass subjects so thats pretty good. Moving from across the pond to go there....maybe...

If you'e in Canada, have you looked into Max the Mutt Animation School in Toronto? Check out the website (maxthemutt.com). I'd be interested in your reactions to our student gallery. I'm the director.
