edit: forgot to write something =) it struck me that i havent done something nasty bloodfilled in ages, so i added the sword last minute. painter+photoshop.

thats because Gaiman manages to fit in so many aspects of different cultures... But it is a nice sketch, also the one with the knife lodged in the guy.

Im hosting this for a friend of mine in highschool, Ive gotten him interested in the DSG, but he lacks a site of his own so he can't post up his stuff..
He would really appriciate any constructive criticism...post it here or msg me and I will forward it to him.. thanks!

I can tell your friend is good, simply because he managed to draw that and color it not too badly in twenty minutes. However, something you may tell him to keep in mind is a reference point. Right now his drawing seems very 2D. It lacks the depth that some people (even my crappy pic at the top) have accomplished since they gave themselves a reference point.
The reference point in my pic is the window inside the tower. I am new to the rendering world, and am really just learning the ropes about coloring... but I think keeping a light source more in mind would also give his drawing a bit more 3D look.
