small Update Dec 19, 2010 Crits please.

hey Beelow,

thanks alot for your comment on gaia! appreciate it very much! I know I should draw more the things I see, instead of the ones I imagine ...

Now to your pictures. I am very intrigued by your sketchbook! it is great and very alive! on the last two pages I notice that you put always a main focus in the picture, which you also work out very nicely detailed. the rest is mostly very unfocused. actually very good, but it often seems as if you haven't no more desire to work out those parts in detail too...so the "unfocussed" is not the problem, rather the "I'm bored to finish that piece..." you know what I mean? I know that by myself, I often get bored to work so many hours on one piece to get it finished...:p

however, you have a beautiful, continuous style. I like the creatures and characters that you show here. especially the white dragon in post # 191! strong texture and cool pose! ^^ I'd like to see that piece finished!

Jakers- Yeah I was thinking that, bird was afterthought. I was trying to resolve blue highlights on side of face, which was a mistake on my part. Didn't plan well enough, I guess. Yeah I kept it kinda loose on the portrait. I was mainly interested in minimizing my strokes, which I ended up overdoing anyways. Still learning though. Thanks for dropping by as always. I am always interested in your thoughts.

InFlame- Yeah, I tend to run outta steam when I overwork a piece. Usually it is bad comp that I adjust way too much and it ends up being terrible. That is one some of the unfinished ones. Other images that are more complete, I do leave areas of unimportance a less detailed with looser edges and things of that nature. Yeah, I may return to the dragon piece, but right now it is on the backburner, because I don't really like it because of poor composition. Thanks for stopping by. And, your welcome. qlotzan- Maybe...I am more interested in just drawing and painting right now. I am about to move back into doing 3d. Been away from it for a long time. I wanted to get good at drawing and painting first then move back into 3d. I think it is about that time. Thanks for the compliment.I like those as well as crits.

Parsakoira- Stars don't really matter,although that would make me happy to see that my work is that good. I don't mind. I think it is more important that I grow and enjoy doing it. I apologize for the lack of updates. Here is some work that I have posted on my blog. A few photo studies, one from Danny K's stash, one from life, a model I sculpted in Scuptrix(which is an awesome program) and other stuff that I've done. Couple finished and the rest not so finished, which most were for Chow, that I never seem to finish before the deadline. Hope you enjoy.

The second character from post #216 is a bit out of balance, his left leg is a bit much infront of him I guess. It could be that his feet are tiny. I hope you have heart to fix it. Its a really great design.

I really like the shapes you are working with in that crucafix concept. Something about the body looks a little disjointed in a way but there is just something about the way you handle solid mineral objects that gets my blood flowing. Like the staff on the next sketch that seems like oldschool victorian leaf and vine. Very cool.

kingkostas-Yeah definitely need improvement in that area mainly the knowing how the muscles flow; sometimes I forget. Gotta do some studies to get that area worked out. Thanks and sorry for the lateness of my process shots. Been busy with doing Pow Wow and helping my uncle with performances. It's Native American month, so it's been pretty busy. Also, been helping with cooking Navajo Tacos. Gotta love that frybread. There you go and your welcome. Glad I helped out a bit. And, if you need me to explain my thoughts throughout the process, let me know mang. I think its pretty much self explanatory. Nothing really special about my process.

B-Man- I'll get around to fixing it. I intended the feet to be a bit small. I wanted to play with the design a bit and do something different. I will get him balanced. I think I see the problem and should be an easy fix, I hope, LOL.

raminafshari- Yeah, I am trying to break the habit of doing the same lighting. Thanks I am glad it reads well.

Justyna- Thanks, yeah I am trying to get back into doing environments. I usually get burnt out. I mess up on the compos most of the time because I abandon what I usually initially sketched. Thanks though, I am glad you like them.

batcustard- Yeah, I know its not perfect, but, I usually just move on and fix what I was having a problem with later on, I usually see it later on after I have not looked at if for a while. Thanks though. I try my best to get materials right.

Aveh- Thanks! Glad to see new fans come aboard. It keeps me going when I see other enjoy my art. I try my best to advise people. I make the same silly mistakes all of the time. I hit myself with newspapers sometimes, LOL, jk.

Hey, the kings grip seems a bit fake, the right arm one, doesn't convince that he is holding a fucking heavy, skull smashing axe, more like a light broom or sth like that and the upper arm seems a bit too tiny, compared to the forehand. But I like it a lot the fat dworfs with axes and maces are always fun for me to watch hehe.
