i think that your painting in particular shows heaps of talent, your choice of where shadow lies and where light sits is spot on. cant wait to get back to uni next year and do as much life drawing as you seem to be doing. Thanks for your sb it was realy nice looking through.

Very cool stuff! I like your life drawings, and I admir your great control of different media as you shown in this thread, in particular I love your pencils.

the figures seems rigid and without energy, instead the energy that you put in your life drawings.

Aphex™-- Thanks, I am usually a little hesitant to play around with the eyes too much I think I'm afraid of messing it up. But you're right I should add little more reflections and definition to the eyes. Maybe I should sit closer to the model to get a clearer look at the eyes. Thanks!

Wow such elegant life studies I really like how you can capture simple form and subtle changes in tonal value... mmm... you use chalk pastel, right? I always find I get that stuff all over my hands and get nasty fingerprints all over my arts.

So... let's see sommore of your concepts eh?

bunny:: I used to use pastel, everything after November 3 is charcoal on smooth newsprint. I usually don't have a problem keeping fingerprints off my arts, keeping it off my face is another story. I def. need more concepts though, good point, thanks!

rblitz7:: Thanks. I'm over here at Watts Atelier. I am using Conte charcoal 1710 B (the black ones with a gold stripe on top) sharped to a long taper on smooth newsprint.

Very nice rendering and technique. A lot of improvement since the beginning too. The structure isn't quite as consistent, keep trying to push that with your line drawings. If you can nail that 3d volume in your line drawings, it'll be that extra little bit to turn good drawings into great ones. Overall, really nice looking SB.
