Oh, my poor 'Goo...have you no pride?

    All around us is inspiration...

How did Jonah get out of the whale?
How did I get out my first marriage?
How did Bush get out of first grade?
How do we get out of doing the dishes?
What if what I'm thinking right now escapes, and will it get me arrested?
Why does my cat go into the basement every morning clean with a little shovel and come up every night dirty?
Why does my canary want a hacksaw for Christmas?
Where does Robin hide when Batman says it's time for bed?
Why are the novices at St Celibate Forever secretly buiding a battering ram?
What would McGuyver do if he was trapped in a pickle jar? Or Steve McQueen?
What is that drawing you've been screwin' with for six months--erasing, redrawing, erasing, redrawing, erasing...--gonna do when it finally gets pissed off?
What do you do when you're in the shower, your clothes are in the downstairs bedroom, and your steady boyfriends (both of 'em), your fiance, and your husband...all let themselves in with the key under the mat...and the bathroom window is only 6" by 18"?

    Shall I go on?

so when is this poll to vote on reservists going up? I'd love to know if there was even a chance of getting into the next round. Good luck to everyone by the way, here comes another month of waiting and endlessly checking these forums. I want instant gratification! haha

[Ilaekae lubes up telephone pole and jams it down cannon barrel in hope of getting MR. ALLCAPS inspired...]

Magicgoo, that's flattering, but trust me...you don't wanna grow up to be me. I'm covered in six shades of cat hair, swallow 2 pounds of pills a day, and it takes me three days to go to the bathroom. Be happy just the way you are.

PEOPLE! Are we braindead here all of a sudden. the theme is escape. All you have to do is ask WHY! What the hell would get your panties in such a knot that you have to run? This is the 21st century and we're all going to hell. Think about why, and maybe you'll crawl under your bed and cry. Then draw what got you under there in the first place... after your blow your nose on the sheets.

    Gawd! I've turned into Chaos.

Now...try and think of nice things...

Hearing a bear laugh behind you because you're taking a crap in poison ivy.
    The THING in the closet
    Can openers that don't work.
The funny green thing at the bottom of your just-finished coffee.
    Your boss.
    your ex.
The car you just passed that smiled at you just like the guy at the gay bar...whose light just flicked on.
Hearing splashing in the toilet...while you're on it.
You just got home and your house looks...hungry.
Something's been using the pet door for over an hour...and you don't have a pet...in your 15th floor apartment.
    the THING under the bed.
    The THING in the refrigerator.
Your date just took off her blouse...and they're moving all by themselves.

Sorry to sound like a nazi about this, but my feeling is that the number of combatants should just go down with attrition. It's not fair to those who have been in since the first round that someone else can come in later, and nor is it fair that someone who was beaten can get back in.

I'd sooner just see the number of matches go down.

What a nazi you are. Kinda looks like a Hitler 'stache if you squint...

I guess that's an issue to raise... I only bring back people to fill empty slots due to pussouts so that everyone at least has someone to battle it out with. We'll settle this with a poll.

Heed the call of the poll.

you've got a good point. Firstly, I don't think anyone who wasn't in the last round will be brought in so you are safe in that regard. On the second part, I am totally biased because I really want to be in the next round. I worked my ass off and did a piece I was proud of, had I been in any number of other matches I might have won, as it was Fudiciose did a kickass picture and beat me. That is totally fair, I was expecting to be out. But now that I may be allowed in again, I'm really excited. It may not be the way a tournament normally works, but I also think it will make the tournament better. The number of rounds reamins the same, the number of winners remains the same, but there will be less pussout slots. I think everyone can agree that pussout spots are lame. And no one wants to win by default.

It seems to me that the point of this tournament is for insane competition that pushes each of us and to have fun. In my extremely biased opinion, allowing specific people voted in to be reservists will help facilitate both of those ideals.

    IMHO,
    Chris
