    Old Demon WIP

ok, Final update on the Head.
Hands next. Horns are a WIP right now.

I thought I would post some large pics, hope no one minds.
as a note, I kept him pretty A-symetrical as you can see. because hes so old, and upon looking at very old faces...they get pretty banged up looking and just all over the place. so I kept that in mind when doing this ancient demon.
also, remember he will be in silicone, so all detail is done even hevier so it reads the way I want it to in silicone.

Looks geat and I like how the crow's feet swoop up, almost gives the effect that the head is drying out. I mean the demon, not the clay. And this is to be life size? Hope you post pics of that.

    Wonderful! Two questions:
What sort of clay have you used?
How did you make the ears?

    thanks for the compliments!

Andorz, your frist question I'm a bit confused by, how many clays have I used in general, like how many have I ever tested out?
well..ALOT...to many to go through and name because I just dont remember them all.
for this sculpt, as I said he is done in Chavant NSP Medium.

and for the ears, well I dont know how to excplain it in text. id have to make some kind of video tutorial. and I'm just way to busy right now to do that, but maybe in the future.
but ill try and excplain somewhat.
I build them up with clay, solid. and then carve out the ear forms, as if I where drawing one. once its all carved out, I start building parts outward, looking at it from the front as well. when i carve it out i dont leve it looking carved, i round out my shapes as well, and of course some parts are carved out much much deeper then others.
    look at ears, study them.

    thanks again for the comments,

i just dont know about the folds and textures on the skin under his nose and above his upper lip, its not human, but then again he is not. make sure to make his horns all worn out and scratched and withered.

Just Beautiful !!! Can't wait to see if the horns are broke and busted, or if he's long in the tooth so to speak..
