Awesome pictures but they're kinda dull...better lenses would be good, that and more contrast. One dull color takes away from another dull color which makes for a dull picture. Lenses would add more vibrancy and color and contrast.

billeh_b, buddy, maybe you are right, I was kind of amazed though that colors of steppe in shots were exactly the same as when I took photos. Steppe has gentle colors, dissolving with sky you know, it takes some shades from air, air takes some shades from grass, and everything sort of hangs between earth and sky and slightly buzzes, with sounds glasshoppers and bees. Very peaceful and modest. I didn't even do much correction in Photoshop, wanted to keep true colors of the landscape. You see it in the same view as me. Hope you feel the same too.

Hi, buddy, it is from place where I was born, East Siberia, the place is part of Russia, called Burjatia. Capital is Ulan-Ude. Buddhism is one of prevailed religion, so they have biggest Buddhist temple in country. Some photos from the temple. The rest is Siberian landscapes exactly as I remember them from my childhood, a bit tough and very real nature, not very sophisticated but powerful and very lyrical sometimes. The most remarkable thing about my place of birth is aroma, it still lives in my memory, Aroma of pine trees and lilac in spring. Very dense air, very clean too.
Near city where I was born there is the world deepest lake Baikal. It is unique and breathtakingly beautiful, it has volcanic nature, with unique flora and fauna.
There are many legends and tales about the lake. Happy you took a look and like some of my photos. How are you btw, hope you are doing great. I miss our hilarious exchange and your voting f or my entries, don't remember anyone being to nice twice to me . heheheh..
