First Sketch Book Ever

Well like the title says this is my first sketch book. I draw on random paper mostly computer paper or maybe mess around on photoshop before this. But for the first time im using a true sketch pencil and higher quility paper. Im trying to become a seirous artist attending the ArtInstitute of Fort Laderdale in the late October of 2006. These are the first like i said, but im open to critizism.

other then the crappy scan jobs that is, lol scanner is to small for the paper :-\

I am 18 years old, i have never taken an art class in my life, and as of a week ago i jsut bought my first art drawing book named "Drawing the head and figure" by Jack Hamm. Going to try and take a digital picture of my drawings with my camra rather then scan them they might come up better.
