Here's my two cents for this section.

TheBrave-I'm a sucker for giant, city looming monsters. Great color and textures.

GrooverMcNab-My favorite graphic piece of the competition! The blood splatter and background design is a really beatiful contrast. Why didn't I think of that.

Dougbot-My favorite in this section! The ambigous landscape and place really reinforces the concept. I liked the explanation at the bottom, interesting indeed . Very powerful piece!

    RedRook-Dynamic composition. Good stuff.

Jason Manley-haha, this one made me laugh. Great color circulation.

James Kei-Beautiful piece. particularily the right half.

Boon-Wow. I won't tell you you have beautiful line work, because you already know that (haha!). Your one twisted kid, haha.

JasonChan-Beautiful reds and sensitive marks. Nice concept too.

DavePalumbo-Nice work. Reminds me of the movie falling down.

This section there are so many equally amazing pieces! Rusty's, love the color and action; Sinix's graphic is so damn cool, krytical error's is just so unusual, TheBrave is rocking some great color and composition there; Loomer's juxtapoz of graphic and render is cool, dougbot, i demand u to build that bug!!! i wan to ride it.... jk. the flesh tone is soooo nice i can touch it already. yAdam's reminds me of a myth i might have known but forgot... James Kei's is so daunting... LOOK OUT man! right on top of u!!! Boon's just gets me right here.... wish to see it in color. So's Jens! what a lovely scarry pic... want to see Jason Chan's bigger! so much details i want to take in... Greentopaz, curious, r those real creatures looking at the human? creepy... Oregano, your creature is so well done, love the color and textures! Matt Dixon, yours is very touching and real to me. the haunting stare of the little girl... GHill, ha, totally relevent and relatable! Everybody else! sorry for being a lazy bum and not write the whole thing.... there are just too many... Love, till the next round we meet(might, might meet)!!!!!!!!

    So many gems!

Gotta say my favorite without a doubt is.....

Loomer - Scott, I absolutely love your piece. It's a real knockout! ....get it? bwah bwah bwaaaah.

Lots of other beauts in this batch. Dougbot - wow. Mecha Hate Chimp - love the simplicity of the design, yet so effective in execution (another bad pun). Uziel - very sobering concept.... wish the walls were treated differently though. James Kei - My nightmares look like this. Boon - I would love to have seen a lithographic style coloring on this. Very strange, very cool. Oregano - I keep placing National Lampoon type in the image. It fits so well! Matt Dixon - ....another sobering concept, I went from laughing my ass off looking at Loomer's, to deep sadness looking at yours in a matter of seconds. Powerful piece, my second favorite in the batch. MD powah! Hunger_Artist - I love the style. I'm not sure how it fits the theme, but man, I dig it anyway.

I like this thread the best out of the three. Really hard to choose a favourite from all the beauties in here, but Dave Palumbo's takes my eye every time I scroll through. A gold star for you, sir!

Best of luck to Purb36 and flatliner, and congratulations to all!

Maybe I'm a bastard, but i can't stop laughing at that piece, Dave. it's as much editorial as it is fantasy/book cover material.

2.5 days to go, i bet you're cranking out 5 more right?

I thought the same thing! - It's certainly got a bit of the Vallejo about it - even looks a bit like him! Reminds me of his Doc Savage paintings.

Just wanna say a big thanks to everyone that said kind words. I agree with a few of the crits, and my next paint will be quite different. I think I'm gonna try and get back to some of my less static things I used to do. Rely on some real *drawing* as opposed to painting.

RES, you've seriously lifted your game there, nice one. And Luxun, for a young un that's pretty damned good!

Gotta say I absolutely love yAdam's entry and think the UK crew totally represented this time.

The level of art in this round has just been staggering. I haven't had a chance to look through the other two rounds yet, as I've been kinda busy (currently living on friends' couches, and have been at a festival worshipping celestial bodies all weekend. Yeah, you know what I mean..)

Will say more when I get a chance.

I didn't get to see any of this until yesterday. Some damn cool stuff. Groover I'm really digging that piece, I like how it flows through. Danomight, your's turned out awesome too, has a cool Akira vibe to it. I thought the three of us really did some cool things, and grew a bit as artists.

I should take the type of my piece, it's a bit cheesey. I always panic with my stuff "Oh this is too dumb, nobody but me will get it" kind of crap. Still, I like it more than most my stuff. Some serious perspective issues need to be addressed, and parts need to be pushed back a bit more.

    Awesome stuff all around.
