I can't stop looking at all of these entries....I guess it's so special to me, the fact that I can understand or have a better understanding of all of the entries, since we all started from the same place...the theme! :3 amazing , seriously!

edit: wow everyone, I really didn't expect so many lovely words . this trancends my expectations. thank you.

mikeallcapsthatitypedinalllowercase - very grim piece. Echo the overall sympathies on your default win. But you went all out so hopefully the result is a victory in itself. Nicolas - Cracked me up. Who the hell wears a wife beater with the American flag on it? haha, Classic!! Hurricane - Very strong. m@ - I love love love this one! Rash Overdrive - there's a contemporary feel to this piece that I really enjoy. I like the somber mood as well. Sielagaudys - Man oh man, how have I not seen your work before? poise - Tiffany, I really like the mood, palette and composition, but forgive me for not knowing exactly what is taking place. Iconophobian - If there's a way I can get that piece to hang in my studio, let me know. Alday J. - The intricacy of the clockwork is amazing! Cheers Julien! Vyle - V for Vendetta, Vicious, Victorious, Vyle ....
What an honor to be submitting art in such fine company! (Including all the ones I didn't get to name).

Tons of great work here. So much that I’m just going to stick with my lil group.

Noë: Great job. From what I’ve seen of your work you really took it up a notch with this piece. That’s fantastic.

Pan: This is super-cool. It’s colorful, fun, and well… COOL. Go kick some ass in round 2.

Back from vacation, and what do i get to see?? One of the most astonishing LMS rounds ever!! *bigass jawdrop*

Mad respect for my matchmates Nicolas and Slash, great work!

    Lewis

    + Good ideea
    - Composition color and anatomy do not do justice to the ideea.
Tnx, Ollo, for commenting every piece (i think everyone apreciates it )
The composition color i understand, but the atonomy not... Whats wrong with my conquistadore? (i think im blindstared at my piece, so that i do not see some flaws it probably has)

My alltime fav this round was probably Dutton. G-R-E-A-T

    i agree with Mike.

not because he dont desrve it. he did a spectacular piece.

but so many matchs looks a prety unfair to me. in the way that dont pass the best artist. pass the man who get lucky in the match

"pussed out" ok i pass!! yeah.

bettet if the method was pick up just the best 90 from all the work, free for all!!

and then. in the round two, yes to man vs man vs man type of match.

but if any artist pass for pussed out competitors.. do something for fix that.

in the cow chow. etc. the poll works fine.

    change the method!!!!

i didnt say this because me. of course. well. you know....

i hope you people understand my bad english.

The only problem with this is those were not the rules. Wehn everyone agreed to do this they did it based on the rules that were setup. This is how every single elimination tournament is run, if you happen to get metched up with someone good enough to be in the last round in your first round and you get knocked out, that's how it is. Ultimately you wouldn't have won anyway.

I would actually like it to be the way you mention, because I think my odds of winning would improve as I was matched up with two badass pieces. But you can't change the rules to make it easier for a specific few to get to the next round, that truly is unfair.

Or maybe people should just stay commited and get their piece in. We all volunteered to do this, and we're given a month (+). If you can't get a piece in just tell Cody so he can grab someone from the reserves, that way we compete. And the choices of match up are random guys. If you get matched up with a "Marko," just step your game up. That's what happened last year -

When someone backed out last year, I don't believe it was a prob. I had to back out, and even though I was really late on letting him know, Cody was able to get a resrve and everything was cool. Anyways, don't get worked up, we've been here before -

Hey yeah, that's a great idea! All we have to do is give the judges the task of picking their favorite 90 pieces of art out of nearly 250 that were submitted! Why didn't I think of that.

Oh yeah, I didn't because it's an impossible goddamn task to ask a single person to take on.

The dome isn't designed to necessarily facilitate that the absolute best pieces advance to the next round. It's about the chaos of not knowing who the hell you're going up against until it's announced, giant-killers who come out from nowhere and kick some ass, and most of all it's about art for the hell of it without any whining about how it could have been done better.

There are hundreds of kickass pieces submitted, and lots of kickass pieces will not see it through to the end. Tough shit. You're having fun, aren't you? Are you suddenly going to discount how the dome is run if you don't advance?

Logistically, this is one of the best ways I could think of to create a massive tournament that embraces the fun of the luck of the random draw and skill. I made it known from day one how shit was run here, and if you aren't comfortable with it or can think of a better way to realistically run a 270 man thunderdome, you're more than welcome to start an activity specifically suited to your tastes.
