    Newbie here :)

Hello, I am new to sign up to concept art.org.. I have been a lurker for sometime though off and on.

Anyways, I recently decided to look for a fulltime position at a studio in Austin instead of doing contract work for a while.. Want more job security (as much as the game industry allows! ). Haven't been looking for long, about week.. 2 places have shown some interest, but nothing concrete yet

Anyhow, just wanted to shoutout and say hello..

/edit. white rose alreayd said it..

but... you should really say whose work you're doing a study of.

Ya, just the hair tutorial from CG Talk... Those tutorials are up to use no? I guess I should note that on the pic though.

EDIT: Already fixed. Thanks for the heads up!

    @Dave- Thx!

Hmm, That picture posted above is probably the weakest on your website.
There is some excellent work on your website - good luck with your job and welcome.

ummm.. how can i explain this clearly...
that cg tutorial.. is for you to learn.. not to have something similar.. and put it into your own portfolio.

do you see where im going with this.

Is this your portfolio work????????......you're in trouble if you're using other people's stuff as "your work" you know

Ok, thanks WhiteRose, no need to dwell on it. I may just replace it with another piece anyways. It is my work, just from a tutorial, which is clearly stated on the pic now.

@Glynn - Thanks, may just swap it with a new pic then!

Charlie, he's already explained that he did the piece based on Linda's hair tutorial.

That said, White Rose is probably right in that a tutorial piece probably isn't the best piece to put in a portfolio, especially for a concept artist, for various reasons.

Blake, I remember your work when I was still active on garagegames. Nice to see you've updated and got new stuff up. (I'd still suggest removing the tutorial from your portfolio, though).

Hey LoTekk!! Ya I remember you to! Thx for the feedback, I already took the pic down, lol... I just had it there to show painting skills in photoshop, but i defintiely see the point.. so its down now.

Edit: LoTekk, I was just looking at your portfolio, you should do a pack on GG! Like a Ninja pack or something I saw that guy on there with the Katana.. that would make a sweet content pack!
