great stuff you've shown much improvement so far. Keep it up.
A few things. Your getting your proportions right more and more as you go. But make sure you pay attention to relative sizes and measure them. As you draw keep going back and judging them. When your done with your sketch, if you referanced a picture, layer them in PS and see how well you did. Then yo can definitively say "im not drawing such and such the right size" etc.
Also on your faces, your doing what most people do and drawing the symbol for the different parts instead of whats there (i have the oposite problem, i draw what i see and not whats there ). My drawing 1 teacher gave me a good tip. When you draw the eye for example, draw the actual eyeball then layer the skin and muscle overtop to get the forms right, Like a sculpture.
    Keep it up dude

Hey, nice start! I like the fact that you're doing studies, but you may want to take more time on them and make them as accurate as possible. I have the same problem, but here are some ways i've found to take a longer time on things: constantly check parts of the drawing you thought you had down already for mistakes, take a few steps back and look at it from farther away, if you're using a book - turn your paper and the book upside down and then see how it looks. It's basically about getting a different perspective, try out different things and keep drawing!

Fishspawn's advice is great. Drawing from a photo or a book, if you aren't sure if you're on track, you can flip the photo/book another direction. Or if you're working digitally, flip the canvas around to make sure proportions are right, because after looking at what you're working on for a while it can be easy to miss sometimes Looking good so far, keep up the good work!

Cool eye studies. I find that its easier to do single eyes than eyes in pairs, so you may want to be practicing them in pairs so that you can nail the difficulty of matching them while you work on drawing them individually. Wow, i used a lot of words to say not very much. Have fun, and keep it up.

Awsome those eyes are much better. You can see how the skin lays ontop of an actual shere of the eyeball. Keep going man!

    Loomis is awesome.

Fishspawn is right, single eye studies are easier, when you feel confident with that then you can try the next step of pairing them up.

I love it! That top left pair of eyes is swell. Good progress on everything else as well. Try to refine your musculature studies a bit more, they look rushed. (like i'm one to talk ) Keep sketching~

Keep up the figure studies man. It's looking pretty good. Makes me want to learn anatomy better too. Loomis kicks ass. I'd work on value renderings before you start getting too involved with color. Value is way more important, and once you have it down, color gets easier too. The new SSG sig is in the SSG thread.

That is a very valuable advice. Try doing some simple volumetric objects from ref, first in color then in b&w(values). Desaturate the color pic an compare with the other. That's a really cool excercise (don't remeber where I learned about it).
    Cheers!

    hey james
    Im also 14
My advice to you from someone on a similar perspective
A great way to get your drawing skill up is to draw from refs
Your perception of line and shape needs work. Also draw from real life, It stays in your head a lot better than stuff from pictures.
ALso I think you should stay away from the digital stuff for the time being.. get your drawing skill up and it will come much easier- trust me

You did a great job with that shoe there man. I think you have a good eye for colour but you don't do it enough. (or upload it enough.. heh.. ) Your deff. alot better at practicing your anatomy then when I was 14. Keep it up. I can already see improvement in your work scrolling down.. again the shoe.. and the diff. coloured eyes are both really good and show a lot of promise.

Hey man. Looks like you're having fun with it which is a good thing. I think something else that would help you out would be linear perspective. Here's a link to a site that explains the basics. http://www.olejarz.com/arted/perspective/index.html
You can use it to make things like the computer sketch and the bottom of the DS to look truly 3D.

I see you have a ds
    GO DS!!!
your last pic is your best but you gotta work on light
he looks very flat and he looks surrounded in some kind of gas which is rather confusing
and work on your line, its very messy
