it's a good age to start - if you're gonna take it seriously. A good technique to begin practising on, is to try and use a single line, instead of the "scribble" technique, where you are currently going back and forth with the pencil.

Learning to produce a curve with a single stroke will dramatically increase your perception level. It will make you look carefully at the thing you're drawing, before the line goes on the paper - do you see what I mean?

thanks for coming by my sketchbook.. looks like you have a good start.. It's so hard for me to give crits to people as young as you, no offence, it's just because I feel that for a person your age "have fun" would be the most important tip.. so thats what I'm gonna say.. just keep drawing alot and have fun doing it and you will see lots of improvement.. keep it up james..

well, you're definitley improving at a fast rate - try not to be so heavy on the lines, and that'll give you greater scope for corrections

ahh i see you have started some digital stuff....now lay of the digital stuff and smell the coffee young friend

Many people make the mistake to start with all the fancy digital art before they even learned the basics of drawing and painting. i suggest you forget photoshop ,or whatever program you`ve used, for a while and go back to traditional drawing and painting. Do dozens of studies , painted and drawed and regularly post your progress in here and when the time is right we will tell you that you are ready for the fancy world of digital arts

Hello fellow SSG member

Good to see you doing anatomical studies. Its a good idea to redo them from time to time just to refresh your memory. Don't worry about the mediums you use, (omg not sue, thats different lol - edited) whether its digital or traditional. The basics are all the same.

Read up on values and lighting, I seriously didn't understand them until this year but man it helps so much. If you can start now, you'll be way ahead.

Also, do more eye and arm studies. Both from anat refs and life. That will help you out a ton. Oh yeah, perspectives should also be explored
