Got some good stuff going on, especially in the life studies.
One thing I've noticed is that your life work is much stronger in form, structure and confidence than your imagination and digital work. Keep pushing those areas and using what you're learning in your life studies!
SirGreenSock - Thanks, there's a definite difference from my life drawings to my other stuff. I'm struggling a lot to get my ideas looking right on paper at the mo but hopefully the life drawing will start helping with that too !
Small update, dsg1092 - DRENCHED SLAVE CREATURE HOLDS CANOPY OVER OWNER IN DOWNPOUR.

went out today and tried to paint the goblin character i posted here a while back...haven't picked up a can of spraypaint for months !
came out ok i think, mebbe a bit soft, like some hard edges here and there would've worked better but hey...it's done now.

another dsg, sketch and colour...need to think more about my colouring...everything looks flat and unrealistic - although a lot of the realism problem is down to my cartoony lines i think !

It's not easy being green
Thanks tin tin - i'm trying to paint a bit more with photoshop rather than just laying down flat colours, might continue to work on that one and add some background if i get time...
i've tweaked it a little...a VERY little...

Hey, a fellow oil painter! Howdy!
Keep up the good life-drawing!
I think you are awesome, and I wish you the best in your endeavors, but I am tired of repeating myself, I am very busy with my new baby, and I am no longer a regular participant here, so please do not contact me to ask for advice on your career or education. All of the advice that I have to offer can already be found in the following links. Thank you.

good stuff keep the life drawings coming.
My Sketchbook->http://conceptart.org/forums/showthr...24259#poststop
thanks rmore, should be some more life drawings on the way soon - i hope !
here's a few recent bits from college, a couple of speed paintings of shoes - we had to do one using thinned paint and one using it straight out the tube, about 30 minutes each.
the thinned one
the thick one
plus some tiny compositional sketches and paintings i did which went on to become the bigger piece at the bottom.
not sure if this is finished yet, i'm trying to keep things a bit looser and quicker and i noticed i'd started to get a bit fussy by the time i was painting the spraycan so it might have to stay how it is. acrylic on paper.
