Website reaches all time high

Did anyone else notice that today we acheived an all time high for most users online, and broke the record by a hundred or so posts. This site is getting huge....maybe too huge for it's own good, since we attracting a lot more spammers.....everyone go back to being quite and hogging this jewel of a site to ourselves.

Most users ever online was 1,730, Today at 08:05 PM.

And 1,264 of then were spambots...

I dont know how many of you have heard of "Alexa" but it basically tracks traffic for all websites on the net, and has a ranking of most visited sites. Check out conceptart.org on it and compare it to other sites like eatpoo or sijun to see how its doing

our traffic is double what it was back when we were on tech tv. alexas information is wrong. i believe it only tracks people who use the alexa toolbar but i might be mistaken there

Our traffic is also very steady and upward in its climb each month. Alexa shows jumping up and down which it does not.

Right now we average near 400,000 unique visitors per month, and 20 million page views per month (meaning members and visitors click all over the place and stay on the site for a long time per visit.

Im very happy that the site continues to grow and the quality of the posts stays high. The finished section has been rocking. It still feels like conceptart.org here even though it has grown a lot. That is what makes this place special to me. It retains its unique culture even as it gets too big to control. Kudos to the mods and all the members for that.

We had an additional eleven thousand members in the past three months too...not bad for a bunch of artists huh!

congrats everyone. This is becoming the best place on the net to see art and to share your work. I'm in awe of what it has become.

I remember when I first started to visit the site, I would actually check out everything, and just be waiting for more new art to arrive, now, I don't think I can keep up.

yeah..they are not accurate. watch the traffic on the site by checking out how many are online. every day we range about the same in traffic with wednesdays the slowest day of the week.over time it is a steady climb as we gain more members. today was a spike upward but it does that around workshop time usually. if you watched for a month than compared to alexa you would see that the information there is wholly inaccurate.

What I really like is that this place didnt end up like other places ( Deviantart is the first place to come on my mind) where people gang up and tell each others how good and amazing they are (which most of the time is badly drawn mangas) without actually telling them how to improve, what they did wrong and what they should put aside since they are already good at.

I cant believe how much I have learned by seeing other people's mistakes that I kept making without me knowing and all the inspiration that I received from everyone's art...

What I am glad is that I didnt discover this place on june 13 2006
