well i finaly got my shipment of WED clay and at once began to sculpt.....i dont have much yet but there shall be more soon please comment crit any thing okay here goes

this is the shoulders and nek obviously. tis what i did first and its....fairly completed i think:

aaaand then just startin to get the basic shape o the head:

and a close up of the one thing i started to detail:

and sadly that is all but i will keep workin plz if anyone has anything to say. SHOUT IT

Off to a good start PooP! Are you working off a design or freestyle...if you've got a design I'd love to have a peep. One more thing what have you used as a armature/support...the only reason I ask is because if it's woodern it will need sealing to stop the moisture being sucked out of the clay.
Well keep up the good work and I can't wait to see your results.

thnx fer lookin dna. actually i did somthin really stupid and didnt use any armature and it is pretty much freestyle with a little ref of anatomy books and me

It looks good, but the collarbone looks a little short. It dosent really slope upwards that much, and carries out closer to the shoulder. Keep it up.

Hey poop, lookin' good so far. I agree with the collarbone critique but since you said you're gonna fix that, I guess it's a moot point. Looks like it's still in a pretty early stage so I'm just gonna wait for more progress shots. Keep it up man.

okssees is time fer an update

first i got the slightly more completed but still in the basic shape phase:

next gots the hairishness blocked on:

and lastly the detailing of teh hair:

every thing is still in the rough phases and will receive detailing but before i continue are there any large mistakes i made?

It's looking excellent dude. It has a kind of animation quality to it right now that I'm really diggin'. I don't know where you're planning on taking this but to me, you wouldn't have to do much to complete this as a very simple (in the best possible way), stylized piece. Again, I'm looking forward to your progress on this. Is this an assignment, personal project or what?
