I love the stuff in post #40, it seems you do your best work when you're drawing from life. I think you should do more of it. I really like the fast and precise strokes/lines in those model studies, I wish I could do that.

    Nice!

You know, I think the albino chick with the black gloves needs something; deep, dark black eyes, or a little vampirish line of blood from her mouth, or something. She's a little bit bland. Just a thought

    Cheers!

    Moftah, MaxotS:

I know, i should really finish more things. Unfortunately enough i tend to lose interest when it comes to rendering. Here's one pic where i tried to take more time though. Still need to ref the hands, they're a complete bitch:

Max: I will finish it for sure, but right now it's in the fridge because i felt like working on this troll i have here. About the eye comment: i've given it some thought, but i've the feeling i should keep my hands off the face lest i fuck up, and i was going for this sneaky expression. Though i may still try it.

    Sure, sure...

As for the troll, the color and shape are coming along nicely although the right leg looks kind of off, what with it looking as dull as the other and being in a different position.

    Great imaginative sketches here!
A good array of character concepts.
The troll's right leg seems a little long to me in comparison to his left.

    Hi guys,

About the leg: yup, you're right. It is glaringly wrong, looking at it now. Or maybe they're both wrong. Already had trouble with 'em in the initial sketch. See if i can so something about it ...

sweet concepts here, i really love the egyptian characters and creatures on the first page. it would be awesome of you made more finished pieces or studies of them. also i think the troll in post 70 has much more of an interesting form than the one in post 75, which looks too stiff right now and his left leg seems short and ackward, but you did say you're still working on it. any ways good work man, keep it up!

Now, I see you form a shape using colour, like painting with oils, it is all very nice

Skin tones is where you shine (GET IT?) I enjoy when you focus on faces but thats probably because portrait is my favourite

    Oh my! You charmer, you

That is progressing nicely, I like how suggestive the hair is. I seem to go overboard when i'm doing a big painting and the hair takes about a week by itself

I can even see the highlights being a clean line

What are you going to do with the eye do you think?
    My Daily DS paintings

Come take a look at my sketchbook, I may not be the master painter but i'm the only one doing it on a DS!

The eye? I've no idea, I sort of called this one done. Though looking back at it still deserves more noodling. What do you think still needs done?

Hey there walnut, thanks for your comment on my SB! I love your studies, some of them looks very nice and inspiring!
The 'finished' pieces looks nice too. The lady you asked if it was 'ready' jas a really nice body anatomy, i just think she needs some work on the face.
    Amazing sketchbook man!
