Solid stuff - great studies and some really good ideas!
I feel you on the models - not to pimp em out, but a great place (and free) to get some fun poses: http://characterdesigns.com/index.ph...page=photosets
Tons of shots, models, costumes, etc - and again, free!!!!

And i will stay bacon even if it kills me.
meticulous: Thanks for the links, even if i kind of already have a lot of those sets
HunterKiller: Merci beaucoup pour ton comment!

OK, so no sketchbook pics today. The photos i took were horrible and the scanner's not big enough to scan the pages whole (and i'm too lazy for the scan twice and paste together thing). But i think i know a way,so somewhere this week maybe. In the meantime, some thumbs. First set are for a challenge with Nettle_Mountain. If you have a favorite, you're always welcome to share ...

I love the sketches on the previous page! I think some of the thumbnails can use a better value range though since a lot are sort of middle value and kind of look boring/flat because of it. You can also try using more colour temperature to push things forward or back in space.

Man, you put so much effort on your figures! so much hard work on your sketchbook, that's very nice i think, by the other hand those last thumbs you posted are incredible! my favorite from the first batch is the last one, the one which has a creature with ornaments and has people surrounding it, but i think they are all very interesting, it would be nice to see one of those thumbs as a finished piece, i think, looking forward for more!

Andrew Sonea: Thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to play with my values and hues more next time i do the thumbnail thing.
Gpozzeo: Glad you like the thumbs. I'm not making promises about finished work though

Ok, let's hope CA doesn't bounce this post twice. Buncha pages from the current sketchbook, scans are crap since i should have scanned it in colour, but oh well. Hope you like some of these:

Damn I really love this latest update! How do you generate such good compositions and ideas? All your designs are also really fresh looking...do you have a general process or way of coming up with it? Do you study anything in particular?

Wow man, your sketchbook pages are so much fun. They're pure joy to look at.

Really love the mermaid piece. The monsters are kickass too. And the king and the ladies drawing is fun as hell as well.

Everybody, thank you very much for the comments, they always help keep the fire burning. And i hope all your fires stay well stoked too!

Not much for this update, but it does contain two (yes, two!) skeletors. One of 'em's had his legs broken, but dont let that spoil the fun :p

Brashen: No prob dude, just gotta say it when i like stuff. And thanks for the kind words, it's been a great journey so far.

PHATandy: I think that's because i recycle a lot of shapes and patterns and ideas. But you've got that cohesive thing going too kind of right?

phiq: I like the sound of that!

A few more sketchbook pages. I like the spider. Well today i like it, tomorrow probably less
