Hive_minD: Well, first of all, I used a bad paper to draw onto. It does make the difference indeed. Secondly, cover the whole shaded area with a light value first and then work in it, avoiding highlights. Thirdly, let pencil strokes follow the shapes.
That's about it! And then, draw 'till your fingers bleed

Really great shit. You've been doing a really awesome job on the faces in the last few posts. If you have the time try taking more risk in pushing more contrast and value variety in your pencils, it will be worth it after a few failed attempts, and try some good paper if you have any around it helps a lot.
