    Love em! Are you painting the lights the same color like the ref or do you invent your own mood?

    I feel indifferent about this one, but I'm forcing myself to finish everything I start from now on... didnt take as long as I though it would but the colors are still weird annnnddd yea its done.

    I like it, But I feel maybe some different colors will help vary the interest of the character. Red everywhere, but thats just a small crit, the concept actually looks really cool, like all thse gadgets and equipment hes wearing, all very cool.

    Keep it up!

    alright Dave, what should I say... he looks great, love the emphasis you put on the details. The branches, the fur and that slick lookin' staff did it for me...

    One thing you may want to look into for your future art is how you handle your edges. Its something I'm trying to work on myself, but I didn't realize until someone mentioned it to me in my sketchbook. In that last update, especially around the legs and feet, the sharp and hard edges give the character a 2D appearance rather then the realistic 3D look your shooting for. Here's a quote I took from elwell, this explains it better than I can;

    "Harder in the light, softer in the shadow
    Harder in bright light, softer in dim light
    Harder in focused light, softer in diffused light
    Harder in the foreground, softer in the background
    Harder on smooth forms, softer on textured forms
    Harder on hard forms, softer on soft forms
    Harder on flat forms, softer on rounded forms
    Harder on thin forms, softer on thick forms
    Harder on still forms, softer on forms in motion (on moving forms they are harder on the leading edge and softer on the trailing edge)
    Harder at the center of interest, softer as you move away"

    coool duude. I think it might be a bit boring because, his arms are straightened out, maybe a bend somewhere anywhere, usually when something is straight its no fun. Oh that sounded pretty gay. Its comin out cool though. Keep rockin the world.
