One of the best ways of starting an evening of drawing is looking at your work. It always gets me pumped and inspires me to have fun with drawing. It has something to do with the fact that though your drawings and paintings are beautiful and detailed enough, they're not too exhaustive and all over the place. Just the way I like it. Work hard and update more!

i imagine you're using painter...?? just wondernig cuz your style is really cool and i like your crisp work... if you ever get to do a video and explain your brushes that would be awesome. i'm having trouble getting nice crisp edges and merging the layers in painter. don't get me wrong, i really like the color mix you get but sometimes it just goes a bit crazy...

great work!!!!! btw, how are you now? i ask cuz you said that only at 19 did you take art seriously...

    cheers!!!

PlaceBoast- Thanks mate! It makes me glad to know that I can inspire in some way

Bandd- Nope, I don´t use painter. I only know photoshop. Tried painter but the interface kind of turned me off. I´m trying to think a lot about edges, they´re so crucial. Using hard edged brushes and using the sharpen filter occasionally might help you I´m 24 now.

    BAMeyer: Thanks dude! =D

    Finished this weeks Chow.

    Hello guys! Some sketchbook:

Also, I was allowed to show alot of the artwork I´ve been doing for our game.

Concept Artwork for Cartoon Action Adventure MMOG ”Milmo”. All images I post here are property of Junebud AB.

    Intro

Hello Everybody! Since June 2008 I´ve been working on a brand new exciting game called ”MilMo”. It´s a free 3D action adventure MMO that plays directly in your webbrowser, with no download required. All you need is the Unity Web Player plugin (like flash but 3D). I´ve been employed mainly as a concept & texture artist, but my responsibilites have been very varied, and I´ve worked on GUI graphics, 3D-modelling, Web-design, logos, some AD'ing, as well as simple animation.

It´s been a very rewarding experience for me. I have learned so very much, and have grown both as an artist, as well as a person. I am truly grateful to have the pleasure and privilege of working alongside every single person of the team. I admire and respect them all.

I have been given permission to post some of the art I´ve produced over the past years, and I hope that some of our love and passion will show through, and that you might find joy and pleasure in seeing some of the art

Not all of these concepts are realized in game. Some have been cut and some will go into production in the future.

    The Assignment

My first responsibility was to design the main player avatar. The AD´s handed me some pretty tight specs, and designing them was very challenging

    The Ingame result:

Early gameplay Mockup, trying to find a feeling to strive for in the action gameplay.

I also had to design armours, weapons and clothes. This sure expanded my visual library

    Vehicles and levels:

(here´s a little step by step, showing how the concept was realized in game by our fantastic 3D-artists)

Designing NPC:s. This included painting portraits for each and everyone of them.

And these here concepts are for our next world, ”spooky-world” Can´t talk about it, secret

And of course, all MMO´s need monsters

    And pets....

Here are some miscallaneous in game art assets where I have been involved doing concepts & textures.

    The Game

You can check out the game and/or play it at (It´s Free to Play) :
    www.milmogame.com
    or on facebook:

    Thanks for Reading! =D

Thanks guys! Wroom, I studied computer game graphics at the university in Skövde. Learned 3d and such there, but the 2d side I have learned on my own.

Working on this year´s dominance war mini. Weird that Ca.org isn´t in... Competing for Polycount.com

@Louise Louisa: You´re too kind Hey, you also have a D00m sketchbook! That´s cool I´m way more flattered by harsh words and constructive criticism than asspats

@TroyZart: Thank you man! That´s one of my ambitions. I think trying to incorporate some of myself and finding personality really helps and inspires the other people on the team (like 3D modellers, writers and animators). It´s all about acting

@Mark Tarisse: thank you very much buddy! I´ll try and make a longer post in your sketchbook, but in case I forget, you´ve got a lot of great stuff in there

    @Burl: Thank you!

    @B-Man: *blush

Sooo, the hard stuff blocked in. Now on to rendering! WeeeeeEEEE!! (I know it looks like a desatured smudgy mess right now.... ;P)
