Requirements:
• Quality digital illustration skill
• Must demonstrate ability to create unique, dynamic pixel animation for small scale devices like mobile phones and online games.
• Demonstrated ability to complete work on time and at high quality.
• Strong 2D Pixel Animation skills and Strong 2D Pixel Background creation skills.
• Good understanding of 2D animation.
Octopi is looking to hire an additional FT illustrator/animator. We are seeking a dynamic team player to work on mobile and online game projects. Candidate should be able to follow direction from the Art Director and client, and breathe life into these 2D games. You should also feel comfortable scheduling the work assigned to you and meeting those timelines.
With clients like Cingular, T-Mobile, Nokia and Sony Ericsson, Octopi is working with some of the hottest brands in the industry. As a small company, we are looking for energetic, motivated candidates that are capable of performing multiple responsibilities. Position will require multidimensional skill sets and the ability to learn new things on the fly. Ideally, position will be filled by an individual that is passionate about games and interested in learning new technologies.

Your portfolio should demonstrate solid drawing and painting skills. Animation and graphic design are a big plus. Show me some original illustrations with good composition, figure and form. Let me know you can draw the same character from any angle. Include a resume that shows you can complete long-term projects, work with direction, meet deadlines, and flex your skills in many genres.
