Good work. The faces look good, but try to get a hand on loomis's planes. They can help you alot!
Also, try to draw as less lines as possible. And try cross hatching
The graphic design pics you posted earlyier really pop out of everything. It'be cool to see some more
    Anyway, keep posting !

    good good good !
You got the shading well. But keep in mind that outlining tends to flatten the pic. For exemple the nose should only have sime values, no lines.
Work alot with your values, sometimes it could be as thin as the lines, so just get uesd to it.
    Hope it helps

    Soccer Jerseys:

    Hall Tshirt Design:

well this is some of my recent sketchbook drawings for skew. some i like and some i dont. ive really fallen in love with charcoal. yay. im starting to slowly get back into graphite, but more than anything im trying to expand. i need to start drawing from my mind more often, cuz im way bad at it. im also working on figure drawing too. yay.

heres some junk. so what you gonna do with all that junk, all that junk inside my trunk (of a sketchbook ;P)

Kinda dissapointed in this one cuz the boy on the right is supposed to be like 4 yrs old but he looks like 40. eh

ive had a thing for clouds lately. there majestic

    yay more clouds

tried out my new white to black pastels. yay for skewl purchases

ive also had a thing for old barns, i guess its just being in kentucky, this one didnt get finished, eh

kinda bummed aboot the smudgy-ness going on in the roof, stupid crappy erasers.

ive been getting back into anatomy. yay. i downloaded this kewl figure drawing reference that lets you spin the model around 360 degrees and 180 degrees vertically. the only downside is there was only one pose on this one. (it was free and im poor so i cant buy the others.

first cracks at it (haha theres butt-cracks so it makes it funny.)

i like drawing in pen for some reason, but they didnt like me this time

    getting a little better

this next one, specifically the pose on the bottom, i tried to do a really good job on for an hour and a half, but it sucked so bad. then today in drawing class we did gestures for an hour and a half so i think that helped and it doesnt look fantastic but a heck of a lot better than it did last nite.

i like the top one cuz i like the economy of line. yay. improvement?

    critiques are invited

    good day and GLU

    Hello again.

Just a small post this time.

I had to revert to my old sketchbook. My current one is on display in the art buidling at skewl.

Heres a hall t-shirt design. Not to complex. But I still like it.

    As always, critiques are welcome.

    ||: : jz_sketchbook : :|| updated with shtuff from school, life and my brain... ahhhh

Ive been drawing more lately, finally. I guess thats a good thing. I tried doing things from my head cuz I'm way bad at it. Some other life drawings as well.

I also tried some digital drawings as well. The first one turned out well, but the second not so much.

12 minute portrait of my friend at lunch.

Here are some drawings from class in the cafeteria.

A little 10 min SP. I need to do more.

    More life drawing:

First digital drawing that I like:

The second that didnt go too well: (I try to be a perfectionist and it doesnt work)

Wow! Tremendous progress!!!!!! From post #6 SP to this recent one, youve been studying BIG time. I'm caught up, mainly, in faces, portrait studies, so my focus here is on your SP's. I have to hit the basics once again, if I expect to continue forward. How inspiring. You are driven to succeed, I can see that. The charcoal drawing is also very good.
The latest SP....super good job on structure and grasp on proportion! Not smelly at all. Keep it up.

Woah yeah, big improvement . Keep drawing from life and doing gestures like you're doing. Also I find it good to not be pessimistic about your work, it doesn't encourage you more and sometimes decourages you. And besides, if it isn't all that great, when you improve in a month or more you can look back and say "wow I've gotten a lot better". And all that does is keep up optimistic thinking, which will convince yourself to try and improve more, at least thats what I believe.
