Awesome man, really nice work. Really getting the hang of those pencils, good control. Your faces are becoming more believable with each update, though I suggest you also start taking in depth looks at the rest of the anatomy. Need to do more of this myself, but the more I understand both the easier it becomes for me to convey and emotion or moment by using the entire body not just the face. Hope that makes sense...

Anyways, it's always inspiringly great and greatly inspiring to see this type of hard work and dedication - kudos mate!

    ciao!

wow, good one! I never studied muscles on face and nor did I study the skulls enough. Guess I'll make up to it now. Yeh, wanna draw more now! Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanx for all replies, guys!!! You really make me happy with it!

oma - All these skulls, face structures and last muscles are from book of Nicolai Lee - one of the greatest books about drawing I`ve ever read. But I`m afraid it was published only in Russia. But a lot of stuff there based on Bammes method, Bammes is great too
Olle - Glad you think so! Thanx for visit!
    camilografix - Thank you!
Meatsworthy - Thanx, man! Yeah, that film is my favorite too Think I can watch it for 1000 times and it still will be interesting for me!
sith - Thank you for visit! Great that you see some progress, really appreciate your kind words!
demented - always great to get a comments from you, man! Thank you for dropping by! I agree, I need to start dealing with the body, not only faces. I want to pay more attention for studies of face features now coz my portraits still suck after this the rest of anatomy will follow, no doubt. Thanx for kind words, man!
isair - Thank you! In my turn have to say that your work is always inspiring me to draw more, man! Thank you for visit and for kind words!

    Update:
114 - skull from life as usual
115,116,117 eyes refs - trying to understand construction of an eye
118 - photo ref - have to start doing body studies again

You've got some great things going on in your sketchbook. I can see improvement already and your studies are well drawn. A suggestion tho for your figure drawings is to concentrate less on the lighting for now and more on the form of the figure.

Slaving_maniac - Thank you! You right I didn`t have practice enough to shade figures right, so I start drawing figure forms soon

For now small update - working with face forms. I didn`t try to make it detailed, just practice with forms and planes. Now I see that eyes are different No ref:

That first one is realy cool.

That second one looks a little bit of with the body proportions.... but hey, it are trolls . they aren't proportional .

and about the Group. > we can start one indeed. we have to find a good name for it. and find hour first topic . and i either don't have much time. but it's just a support and motivation point. we can do 2 weeks pro proportions. that will do i think.

Do you have msn? you can add me on robmini5@[hotmail.com] without the [ ] ;P. and we can talk it trough.

these are some fine updates Ulver. sexy job on the noses man. those creature things are lookin' a little stiff though. nothing to worry about though. just keep doodling some things like that, add some more dynamics and it'll all work itself out over time

Some good work. Keep an eye on your line and value quality. The beauty of application can (maybe should) rival that of the subject.

wow, bro the Schism one rocks! Nice render and contrast, great expression. And the ogres look interesting. I think varying the viewing angles and working on more dynamic poses would make them better. Keep up the good works.
