@lionheartGFX: Almost everything here, including the beach painting, is done in Photoshop. I usually use just a few different brushes along with the smudge tool set at 100% for most of my paintings.

@NickyBeats: Thanks! I often will try throwing a color adjustment layer on top of something I am almost done with and tinker with the sliders to come up with color themes I may not have thought of on my own.

its funny how much that can change things! i try to do that too, but it often leads to ridiculously oversaturated mess of colors haha. yours are very well balanced! nice line work on that train!!

@NickyBeats: Yes- it takes some care to not have that issue with things getting too saturated. It doesn't work on every piece of art either, and you have to be really subtle with the settings most of time or else it can completely wreck everything!
I love your backgrounds, sooo sick. Amazing sketchbook man. defiantly subing to this thread and looking forward to seeing more of your work

wow, the last one is really lovely.also the one before the last one .. very nice.
i especially love the atmosphere you create with your reduced color-palette.
Whoa! This is one truly amazing sketchbook.. I love your Eventide stuff, very inspiring! Your pencils are so good and your digitals.. You got yourself a new fan![]()
@Artful_Stool: I would say that values are the most important factor in a painting. Most of the time if something doesn't look right, it has to do with the values; the relative light and dark elements. As for describing brush settings... that is a little tricky. I would recommend finding one of the many great free sets out there (you can find some for download on CGHub) and learn from those. You can modify the brushes in other sets, and learn to make your own by studying the settings other people used to get certain results.
@Flügel: Thank you very much!
@Letty: I am glad you are enjoying things here
