I'm not really a concept artist, more of an illustrator, fine artist. I did join 3 years ago and never did post a sketchbook, I did post some art , but do to my job and personal shit in my life I left conceptart.org and now I'm back.

Hey dude, Welocme back to CA. Just joined myself. Your doing great on these studies. Love the first post the best, and the hands tied at the wrists, and holding the pencil. keep up the good work.
chaosrocks : thank you on the advice. I haven't been drawing as much as I use to and seem to be out of touch ,sometimes, on light and shadow.
Envisor: hi and thank you. The reference for the hand drawings were my own.
more studies, getting in touch with basics.
quick idea sketches for a drawing based on a friend's story of a dark archangel named Lemuel.
Been very busy with work this week. Haven't done much in the way of drawing.
A couple more.
That's some pretty good anatomy you have going. I'd like to see some backgrounds though. I especially liked the bound hands (in pencil), that's some good detail! My only other crit is your second to last pencil drawing, somethings off, I think her shoulders are out of proportion some how.
I think the problem with pen&ink is that there is no Ctrl+z command.
writers and artists have a lot in common -- we both draw from life, we both paint pictures, and we'll both spend to many sleepless nights on our work.

Hey, been a while. Im liking this last one. The colors are cool and it shows the person in a creative way. I love the contrast on it as well. Also wondering if the first pencil sketch in post 8 is an SP. Just wondering, it ooks good. but as Gunther409 stated, theres something off about the shoulders.
Envisor: thank you , I may doa final piece on that one. That one in post 8 is a SP and, I agree, about the shoulders and will fix it.
Here is another self portrait and one of my daughter. Both doenin a style, I've beeb working since my college days. I know, they are a bit a flat. Still , trying to get a roundness with it.
Hey Nephthy, I think it's safe to say you're progressing. That last pic of your daughter is by far the best on this thread (I mean that in a good way.) Something is wrong with the jaw\ear on the second to last one though. Seems awkward somehow, maybe play with the jawline. Are you going from life or from photo?

Gunther409: thank you and you may be right about the drawing.
