Diggin' the Ditch?
I like the idea and mood in it. On my screen there seems to be some kind of horizontal bands in the dark areas. Is that intended?
Thank you, guys...no bands intended
Some older stuff, done with markers and ink...each thumb is approx one inch tall:
I love your ink drawings! All the Lovecraft inspired stuff looks great.![]()
Thank you very much, Slothboy
Some fairly recent traditional stuff:
Good ones. The portrait is Håkon Bleken, is it? The comic strips are great. Very professional - makes me want to learn more about what's going on in that story. I like their atmosphere and your use of greys (marker and watercolor again - or only markers?) Your cityscapes are sweet as well.
Thank youThe panels are done with ink (outlines) and markers (shading)...they're from a set of 10 illustrations that accompanied a short story. And yes, it's Håkon Bleken

all the city Thumbs look great - you have a great handle on your natural media.
Diggin' the Ditch?
Thank you, Ditchman
Here's some more stuff...the character thumbs are colorized scans and the vehicle is all digital.
I'm always fascinated with the variety and skill of subject matter. you go!
You've got really nice looking work in here. Nice Suff.
Thank you very much guys...I appreciate your support
It's been a weird year with ups and downs on all levels. Both personally and professionally, I've broken a few barriers and burned a few bridges, and I've sort of come to terms with a lot of illusions and realities.
Here's the last doodle I'll be posting in 2009. I hope you all have had a good year, and wish you all the best for the coming one. Please be well. And always remember,
this too shall pass.

Update you lazy bum!
I don't really have much to offer right now. Didn't do any drawing at all during the holidays, and immediately started working on some magazine illos when I got back...i'll upload at least a few of em once the magazine is on sale. Did some ballpoint/marker doodles earlier today, though.

Yay for the update. Don't really reply as much as usual, but your work still looks great. I know you're busy with those forklifts and whatnot. Why not do a massive project on your own and loosen up a bit? I'm working on drawing my version of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I'm working on something, and you know how I am when it comes to consistency with art. lol.
Thanks for posting, Stark![]()
No projects atm, so here's a page of marker doodles from today...scanned and destroyed in ps:
1 hour mirc TD:
Hey man, the top post looks great for some reason. There is a certain lighting that you put on it (or not) and they look wonderful. It really took me by surprise. The girl looks good, wish you had more time to take it further.
Keep rockin' mate.
I love this.
About the last one, I think the value of her face wouldn't be as dark as that of the chest regarding the difference between light and shadow on the wall.
Thanks, guysSo I reworked the sketch. Ditched the light and added some magicks. The composition is weaker and there's tons of shit that's not right...but still.

Some great updates since I was last in here. That moleskine post on the last page was great, but my favorite by far are those marker sketches of the futuristic night scape.
Inspiring inks as always!
Keep it up!
Thank you, AustenFm
