I can't get into the SSG either, something is wrong with the links, its been a few days now since I was able to view anything there. But about Project Exodus, it looks awesome, I know the sight is a work in progress so I won't say much about it other than I think you guys should use a different font for your main type font, but thats just being nit picky. The concept design of the rider on the 4 legged animal is really awesome, who drew that? I like the idea behind your project. Your dedication is really amazing and inspiring for me. Keep up the good work Dile.

Nice, drawing and diving into zbrush, man, I should be playing with zbrush right now, I will definitly be diving into zbrush when this semester is over. I will have more time over the summer to do a lot of different stuff, but as of now working on school projects. Its cool though. I'm really loving Project Exodus, great work you two.

Hi man. Nice new pics What I'd suggest is doing every digi painting from reference, so can hone your technique for the colours and values you want. Doing alot of digi reference studies will help you beyond belief!

Your last post is interesting, and I like your zbrush guy too. However, I really, really, REALLY, really advise you to tighten up your photoshop renders. You aren't Craig Mullins, and the looseness is doing your work no favors.

Next time you do a PS work, just take your time and smooth out larger areas, make sure to define highlights cleanly, and edge highlights even more so. The way you're doing it now kills the work because the value and color on any given piece of the pic will be all over the place. Without a higher degree of precision you won't convey form and color effectively, which will doom anything you do.

Also, in the pilot pic you haf a good start, but you need to take into account that he is surrounded on nearly all sides by bright blue sky. This would have a large effect on the color of his gear, and on his shiny helmet. http://www.baesystems.com/ocs/shared...s/pilotbig.jpg

Always pay attention to the colors surrounding an object, as they will nearly always effect the color of that object. Disregard this influence and your lighting will suffer.

Keep drawing, and I hope to see some nice solid colored pieces from you.

Darktwin: yes I am , just just took it away yesterday, to edit my sig, and forgot
    to add it again. thx

Dfacto: wow, thx for takeing you your time to write all this
(who is Craig Mullins, I know the name, but I cant seem to see any artwork of in in my mind right now.. )
and about that pilot pic, know when I look at it, it looks dull, and absolutly not what I wanted...I maybe sat down to long drawing yesterday or something.
    Thx again for your advices!

Heya Dile, thanks for the supporting comment in my sketchbook. I can see improvement in your posts. I used to make a shit load of drawings after Marshall Vandruff and by just copying them accurately I noticed the forms and the shadows that different masses create etc... If I were you I probably wouldn't do any Photoshopping just yet, at least that's how I've managed; I've just doodled with pencils so far. It's kind of like, the other hand washes the other.
I have just recently started to think about starting to paint, but I will probably just study perspective and all that before I take the big leap...this is all just my own preference
Well, take care yo, keep that pencil of yers sharp --d

Doyle': Hm first off, I havent copy any other artist if that is what you mean ?
second: I do it in all threee mediums right now, analog (pencils, ink) digital (wacom, photoshop) and 3D ( modelling, Zbrush, 3ds) well, thats what fitting me in my timezone right now, or how ever I could describe it

( sorry if I sound angry, I am not angry at all, I just appreciate your way to help, and Im explaining, how I work for the moment.. )
and btw, I have only done pencil studies (exept for p-exodus)
so Im working on lifedrawing, references and such only studies you know

I dont know, but I use to buy new pencils when my pencil's get to small, or sometimes when I cant find a "sharper" so I'll try
    Thx again for your input

Yeah, draw draw draw, You'll rock in no time! In the last one, the perspective is a bit odd with the buildings in the BG, tho. When studying from ref, I'd recommend setting some kind of goal or theme up before you start. With the pic here, such goals could be: understanding of water-reflections, environments with clouds and whatnot. It helps you putting the focus on what you find the most important. Right now, your images still lack that.
