I really like them. My only crits about first picture. Man's shadow doesn't seem right. For your drawing light must be lower for this shadow.
    Sorry about my english.
    Good works.
    See you

yeah, you are right about that shadow. i should hae just lowered the light since i wanted the shadow to do that but truthfully i never noticed it until you pointed it out. i appreciate you taking the time to critique my stuff. thank you very much

The top one looks speedy, in a good way; But yeah, DEFINITLEY watch those shadows... Try drawing a line from the center of the lightsource to the highest part (Top of the hat) of the figure, and extending it... in this case, I don't think a shadow would be visible at all. To make it creepier, and I'm not sure about the technical side of this, would be to have him descending the stairs. It's more ominous when you don't see their face until the last step or so.

The second one, it seems like you almost tried too hard- Not in a "That's unoriginal or bad" Kinda way, more like, I think doing more fast, slightly less "complete" concepts of one character in different outfits would look a bit more impressive. Using as few lines as possible, and as little color or value to get across what you want to get across. Know what I mean?

Good luck! Hope you get that intership!

The first one, i really like the mood. And i agree on the shadows, but i think it can use some textures aswell.

hey guys thanks for the comments!

Pixel Dragoon: yeah that first piece ws pretty fast probably about an hour. and when i rush i make stupid mistakes. but the elf pic was done just as quick i didnt take a long time with it at all. roughtly about the same time. but these are good crits so thank you for taking the time to share them with me.

Lewis: thanks mood is what i was going for. but what do you mean about texture?

hopefully i will have more soon.
