Red face June 08 Update. I returns with goodies.

i think the sketch book idea is so very awesome, the best part of it all is when i come across a really old sketch book, one that’s been up for a year or so and you get to see the improvements in a persons work. i hope i can achieve something like that

ive been a lurker since maybe four years ago? just never had any guts and time to give some loving to CA. SO i finally decided to make an account :'D well enough of the bloody chit chat

Lovely fluid lines, thick and thin where they ought to be. You have a really good sense of shapes and harmony between lines.
    Keep them coming!

Hey hello there. that is really very nice. of course i love the loose life drawings. i like how you capture the form in those few smooth lines. and there is a nice detailful imagination working on those other pics.

I agree about the life drawings! You create the form really well with so few lines...Would be great to see you take on a longer pose, fully rendered. Nice character scribbles too...

    hi!
the monster from the first post is awesome! also like the scribbles in post nr.10

and I must not forget the life drawings - very fluid lines! but there are weaker ones too :p (too scribbly lines for my taste - goes against forms)

    Keep posting!

vigostar: thank you ! sure will keep on.

Ryn: concept art is mostly male dominated same with sijun and eatpoo ... haha sometimes it feels really intimidating XD we being the minority and all.

libor: thanks ! i know i tend to get too scribbly, those sketches are pretty tame compare to how i use to draw before lol

yadam: thanks, longer poses seemed to be against my old illustrator professors rules, he would rather have us draw 50+ scribbles in an hour then one pose ..i remember doing longer poses when i was a freshmen.. lol but nah i hear what your saying, im going to try to dish out longer drawn stuff.

oleolsen: haha glad you like my character sheet.

to the rest thanks for your comments .

quick gestures with color , just trying out different sketching medium, pastles and watercolor

new ones r so cool! i think you have to make sure though, that the line and the wash contrast each other so that it doesnt become too flat.. try a cool/warm contrast in color.. ie the blue linework and warm wash. good shit

jca: thanks , i'll take note of that for the next time lol.

i just got bridgemens one hundred hands book, and im getting another how to draw hands book in the mail,
ive heard from my drawing teacher that you could tell how good a drawer is by the way they drew their hands. i think thats pretty true.

    another fun drawing sheet.
