some more of the quick outdoorsy sketches, I have to do a load of these i think, but they're starting to feel a bit less alien to me.

Speed studies are lookin flash here. try making key focus points, at the moment in the top one there a sense of depth is a bit lacking.

    Great progress, back soon!

wow, so much new stuff in here, the improvement is definitly visible in your paintings. echoing what iolarnula said about the environments though, if you just add one area with increased contrast in the values and some sharpened detail it will really pop.

Nice some updates since I was last here. I'm loving that tree sketch...I think you should make a slightly darker, more moody sky (better atmosphere and allow the fire-light to be more realistic) and finish it? Build upon it its pleasing so far. The insect like monster at the top is slick to! Its a little busy with grain/highlights/water but thats hard to avoid. perhaps have the water ringing off its surface go on an angle as opposed to dripping straight down? That is if your going to finish it. Keep pushing

For the kind of monkey/scorpion I think the tail looks too small . It remove the ''dangerous'' effect from it lol .

These are beautiful - absolutely loving your work! There's so much imagination and energy in each piece, and your textures, colours and lines make each image so interesting to look at. I've just spent ages going through it all. But it's been a week since your last post - post more!

You draw interesting Creatures. I really like the subtle Highlights like the glow on the fur, or the reflection on the water, or the tree bark. It's very nice and I definitely think if you further your focus more on that your stuff would come out even stronger.

    Cheers.

Your COW entry looks great and I enjoyed looking through here a lot, in particular at the DSG's (which I keep procrastinating on) and the environments. There don't seem to be many female characters here though, but anyway, it's a great skechbook you have here!

Hey! Really Fun Creatures here man. That last post with the white creature comming out of the ice has great movement. One thing i think can improve your compositions is the use of more dynamic poses. there seem to be several strait camera images, or straight up and down poses. of course there's a place for that with concept but i imagine it can really push your already awsome creatures and illustrations.

the ice breaker cow is top shelf man, all your dsg paints are paying off, there's a marked improvement every time you update, even if you don't update enough. only real crit goes in line a bit with strifens in that it definitly wouldn't hurt to experiment with some non traditional compositions in your paintings.
