    hey elisa!

finally I dared a bit more in digitals.. Green Topaz's colors got me going. haha, hope it's not toooo abvious..

    and.. experimented a bit.

and here's a small study, originally drawn by some well known swedish artist. unfortunately I forgot her name..

Haha, I thought "Green topaz." Before I even read your comment!

Keep it up, try to introduce hue shifts- reds and blues, it adds visual interest- but don't add too much. For skin try and go

    >>>Dark color -> Red tone (or in dark Blue or purple tone) -> Light(Yellowish in sunlight) tone. Also try going to moveweb.com and looking up your favorite films, get some highres shots, and do some studies!!!

    Good luck!

Making good progress here. Your facial structures/ heads are a bit out of proportion (thin with really pointy chins) so keep studying from life and studying the skull/face.

andy: thanks alot, appreciate you visting
Justin: Hey that's not a bad idea! I know what you're talking about, concerning the colors, I'm working on it, will try and paint alot more from refrence!
DC: thanks, you're right - more skull studies will be up.

I haven't been here a lot lately, I thought a break would be nice. I mean I love CA, but it's so much to look at and I feel I want to develope without a billion influenses. I'm allso starting to get tired of having my ass owned by people three years younger than me. haha

good work, man! some of your stuff really rocks ass but I must say that some of your stuff look a bit rushed as well. Try to stay focused in each painting/drawing you do, so that you can be sure that you don't bring down the quality of your piece. Watch your proportions as well, there are always little issues concerning proportions in your figures. Keep it up dood!

btw: your life drawings are really cool, try to apply the things you learn with them in the stff you draw from your mind!

One word of advice dude, just stick to PS, you're getting caught up in the wrong side of things, I too was unsure which one not to use some time ago. You already know PS, craig mullins, the best digital artist uses PS, whats the point testin out painter?

Ooooooooo, I shouldn't have said that!

Hey gus thanks for your advice!
blog, I have to defend my ass just for a short moment though - my PS don't work at atm, why I'm trying out Painter a bit. Will try to fix PS as soon as possible.
And yes, these are a bit rushed, but I'm working on it. Will try something bit more focused soon, so to speak.
    again, thanks for your comments!

Cool new life drawing! Try not to avoid the hands/feet, they're hard things to get down, especially in relation to the rest of the figure.
    This is hot!

That painted portrait of the girl is great! I bet if you put a wash over the white BG it would look even better. I say this because all of the nice values you worked in the flesh tones are losing that umph! because of the stark white BG. Nevertheless, I'mma liking what I'mma seeing! Keep it up!

Hello opposition! Hope your Thunderdome entry is going smoothly (still to do mine :p). Looking forward to our clash
Your drawings are coming along. Looks like figures are your strong point. But at times your proportion slips, like on the acrylic study, the face is tilting to the right but the head is not.
See you in the arena :p

hey man, really like the way you do your faces. I can see, you know, your inspiration for doing them that way. My crit would be that your faces are better than your figures, kinda like myself, you know the drill of how to better that anyway so I won't repeat it. Sheesh, I wish all of us could just go to the CA atelier and be surrounded by each other, how hot would that be? We're all just too fucking scattered about, its so hard to find like minded people,

really love this one btw : http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y12...ilk_/girl1.jpg
